Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan aplikasi Caber Montessas (Membaca Montessori dan SAS) sebagai media membaca permulaan kelas 1 sekolah dasar. Pengembangan didasari karena adanya permasalahan membaca permulaan kelas 1 sekolah dasar seperti kesulitan mengenal bentuk dan bunyi huruf, membedakan huruf yang bentuknya hampir sama, membaca rangkaian huruf dalam suku kata atau kata, serta membaca kalimat. Tahapan R&D dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) ini melibatkan ahli media, ahli materi, guru, dan siswa. Hasil dari penelitian berupa aplikasi Caber Montessas berbasis metode Montessori dan SAS dengan sistem Android yang telah mendapatkan validasi kelayakan oleh para ahli media dan ahli materi. Validasi kelayakan oleh ahli media I pada putaran pertama mencapai 76% dan putaran kedua mencapai 93%. Validasi kelayakan oleh ahli media II, hanya dilakukan satu kali putaran dengan presentase nilai mencapai 94%. Sedangkan, validasi kelayakan oleh ahli materi I pada putaran pertama mencapai 71,25% dan putaran kedua mencapai 85%. Validasi oleh ahli materi II pada putaran pertama mencapai 78,75% dan putaran kedua mencapai 90%. Aplikasi Caber Montessas juga mendapatkan respon dari siswa sebagai pengguna dengan presentase nilai pada uji coba terbatas 95% kriteria “Sangat Baik” dan pada uji coba luas 98,4% kriteria “Sangat Baik”. Berdasarkan deskripsi tersebut, aplikasi Caber Montessas memenuhi kriteria kelayakan dan dapat digunakan sebagai media membaca permulaan kelas 1 sekolah dasar. The study aims to produce and develop Caber Montessas (Membaca Berbasis Montessori dan SAS) application as an early reading media of grade 1 elementary school. The development is based on early reading problems in grade 1 elementary school, such as difficulty recognizing shapes and sounds of letters, distinguishing letters that are almost the same shape, reading letters in syllables and words, and reading sentences. The R&D stage using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model involves media experts, material experts, teachers, and students. The results of the research are the Caber Montessas application based on the Montessori and SAS methods on the Android system, which has received feasibility validation by media and materials experts. Elgibility validation by media experts I in the first round reached 76% and in the second round reached 93%. Eligibility validation by media experts II was carried out only once round, with a percentage of 94%. Meanwhile, during the elgibility validation by material experts I in the first round reached 71,25% and in the second round reached 85%. Validation by material experts II in the first round reached 78,75% and in the second round reached 90%. The Caber Montessas application also received a response from studens as users, with a percentage of scores in a limited trial with 95% of the “Very Good” criteria and in a large trial 98.4% of the “Very Good” criteria. Based on this description, the Caber Montessas application meets the eligibility criteria and can be used as a early reading media in grade 1 elementary school.
