Abstract

Pada saat ini, melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi bukan lagi hanya diminati oleh lulusan sekolah umum, melainkan juga oleh lulusan sekolah kejuruan. Lulusan sekolah kejuruan seharusnya dituntut untuk siap kerja, tetapi menjadi memiliki minat untuk melanjutkan studinya. Dengan demikian penelitian memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi minat siswa SMK untuk studi lanjut. Penelitian memanfaatkan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) yang diolah menggunakan SPSS 20. Partisipan pada penelitian ini, yaitu siswa kelas XII dan kelas XIII SMK Negeri 1 Cimahi kompetensi keahlian Teknik Elektronika Daya dan Komunikasi (TEDK) yang terdiri dari 130 orang. Siswa diminta untuk mengisi kuesioner online menggunakan google form yang terdiri dari 19 pertanyaan, dimana kuesioner dibuat dengan memadukan skala Likert 4 (empat) poin. Temuan dari penelitian tersebut mengindikasikan adanya dua faktor utama yang terbentuk dalam analisis faktor, yakni faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal terbentuk dari faktor motivasi dan mimpi serta faktor minat. Kemudian faktor eksternal terbentuk dari faktor orang tua, faktor teman, dan faktor saudara serta faktor lingkungan sekolah. Hal ini berarti bahwa faktor internal dan faktor eksternal berpengaruh terhadap minat siswa SMK Negeri 1 Cimahi untuk studi lanjut. Dari kedua faktor yang terbentuk tersebut, faktor yang paling dominan memengaruhi minat siswa kejuruan untuk studi lanjut adalah faktor eksternal, dimana eigenvalues sebesar 2.928 dan mampu memberikan kontribusi 48.803% terhadap minat siswa kejuruan untuk studi lanjut. Graduates of vocational schools are now more likely than graduates of general high schools to pursue higher education in college. Vocational school graduates are expected to be ready for work, but they also develop an interest in furthering their studies. As a result, the study intends to investigate the factors that influence SMK students' motivation for continued study. The study employs the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) technique, which is run through SPSS 20. 130 people participated in this study, which included students from classes 12th and 13th at SMK State 1 Cimahi with competency expertise in Power Electronics and Communications Engineering (TEDK). Students were invited to complete an online questionnaire consisting of 19 items utilizing a Google form, with the surveys constructed by combining the Likert scale of 4 (four) points. The study's findings reveal the presence of two major elements identified by factor analysis, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal influences include motivation, dreams, and interests. The parent factor, friend factor, relative factor, and school environment factor are then combined to form the external factors. This suggests that both internal and external factors influence SMK State 1 Cimahi students' desire to continue their education. The external factor is the most prominent element determining professional students' interest in further study, with own values of 2,928 and the ability to contribute 48.803% to professional students' interest in further study.
