Abstract

Dalam Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan telah dinyatakan berpotensi untuk mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa agar menjadi manusia yang beriman dan bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, berakhlak mulia, berilmu, cakap, kreatif, dan menjadi pribadi yang mandiri, demokratis, serta bertanggung jawab. Minat siswa pada pembelajaran PKn perlu mendapat perhatian khusus, karena minat merupakan salah satu faktor yang menunjang keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. Dalam jenjang pendidikan dasar, Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan cenderung kurang diminati siswa. Permasalahan yang dialami begitu kompleks seperti kurikulum yang terlalu berat, ketidakmampuan memahami kata kunci dalam KD, pengajaran yang terlalu terpaku pada buku teks, pembelajaran yang berlangsung menggunakan pendekatan konvensional, pembelajaran tidak kontekstual dan evaluasi cenderung mengarah pada aspek kognitif. Kendala lain yang dihadapi pada saat proses pembelajaran PKn yaitu sulitnya siswa untuk memahami materi karena materi terlalu luas, sehinggga membuat siswa menjadi kurang aktif berpartisipasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, diperlukan pembelajaran interaktif yang melibatkan siswa secara langsung seperti penggunaan model Cooperative Learning tipe Think Pair Share (TPS). Melalui penelitian Pre-Experimental dengan One Group Pre-test Post-test Design ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan dan pengaruh terhadap minat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran PKn menggunakan model Cooperative Learning tipe Think Pair Share karena kelas menjadi hidup dan siswa semakin tertarik serta senang mengikuti pembelajaran. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil skor rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 9,37% dan nilai F hitung 32,310 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. ----- In the National Education System, the subject of Civic Education has been stated as having the potential to educate the nation's life in order to become a human being who is faithful and devoted to God Almighty, noble, knowledgeable, capable, creative, and an independent, democratic, and responsible person. Student interest in Civics learning needs special attention, because interest is one of the factors that support the success of the learning process. At the basic education level, Civics Education tends to be of less interest to students. The problems experienced are so complex such as a curriculum that is too heavy, the inability to understand keywords in KD, teaching that is too fixated on textbooks, learning that takes place using conventional approaches, learning is not contextualized and evaluation tends to lead to cognitive aspects. Another obstacle faced during the Civics learning process is the difficulty of students to understand the material because the material is too broad, thus making students less active in participating in the learning process. To increase students' interest in learning, interactive learning is needed that involves students directly such as the use of Cooperative Learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS). Through this Pre-Experimental research with One Group Pre-test Post-test Design, it shows that there is an increase and influence on students' learning interest in learning Civics using the Think Pair Share type Cooperative Learning model because the class becomes lively and students are increasingly interested and happy to participate in learning. This can be seen from the results of the average N-Gain score of 9.37% and the calculated F value of 32.310 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.
