Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan pengaruh penggunaan laboratorium virtual dan laboratorium nyata terhadap penguasaaan dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi sistem ekskresi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan Pretest posttest group design, kelas E1 adalah kelas yang praktikum eksperimen dengan laboratorium virtual dan kelas E2 adalah kelas yang praktikum eksperimen dengan laboratorium nyata. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA di salah satu SMA di Bandung, yang diambil dengan teknik convenience sampling. Terdiri dari 3 jenis instrumen penelitian, yaitu: soal-soal pilihan ganda untuk mengukur penguasaan konsep siswa, soal-soal essay untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, serta angket respon untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terkait pembelajaran praktikum eksperimen dengan laboratorium yang digunakan. Instrumen soal diberikan sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah (posttest) pembelajaran, sedangkan instrumen angket diberikan setelah pembelajaran. Analisis data dengan menggunakan uji beda rata-rata Mann-Whitney untuk data penguasaan konsep dan dengan uji Independent sample t-test untuk data kemamuan berpikir kritis. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat perbedaan penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang signifikan antara siswa yang melakukan praktikum eksperimen dengan laboratorium virtual dengan siswa yang melakukan praktikum eksperimen dengan laboratorium nyata. Respon siswa terhadap penggunaan laboratorium virtual adalah sebanyak 84,14% dan respon siswa terhadap penggunaan laboratorium nyata adalah sebanyak 85,10%. This study aims to compare the effect of using a virtual laboratory and a real laboratory on students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills on the excretory system. This research is using experimental method with Pretest posttest group design. The are two classes, class E1 is a class using a virtual laboratory and class E2 is using a real laboratory The subjects of this study were second graders of senior high schools in Bandung by convenience sampling technique. It consists of 3 types of research instruments, there is multiple choice questions test to measure students' conceptual understanding, essay questions to measure students' critical thinking skills, and response questionnaires to find out student responses related to virtual laboratory or real laboratory. The instrument questions are given before (pretest) and after (posttest) learning, while the questionnaire instrument is given after learning. Data is analyzed using Mann-Whitney test for students' conceptual understanding and Independent sample t-test for critical thinking skills. The result of this study is that there is no significant difference in students' conceptual understanding and students' critical thinking skills between students who use virtual laboratory and students who use real laboratory. The student response who uses the virtual laboratory is 84.14% and the student response who uses the real laboratory is 85.10%
