Abstract

Matematika merupakan ilmu yang sangat penting bagi kehidupan manusia. Selain dapat dimanfaatkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, matematika juga merupakan dasar bagi ilmu-ilmu yang lainnya, oleh sebab itu penting untuk menguasi kemampuan pemahaman matematis sejak dini. Melalui pembelajaran model problem-based learning terintegrasi profil pelajar pancasila guru berusaha mengoptimalkan pembelajaran, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan pemahaman matematis dengan menerapkan model problem-based learning terintegrasi profil pelajar Pancasila dan model pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes pemahaman matematis, pedoman observasi guru dan siswa, serta jurnal siswa yang telah valid dan reliabel. Data diperoleh dari hasil instrumen yang diberikan dan diolah serta dianalisis untuk ditarik kesimpulan dengan melakukan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji beda rata-rata, dan uji n-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat pengaruh positif model problem-based learning terintegrasi profil pelajar Pancasila terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis, 2) terdapat pengaruh positif model konvensional terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis. Kemudian hasil uji n-gain menyatakan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman matematis dengan kategori sedang pada kelas model problem-based learning terintegrasi profil pelajar Pancasila serta peningkatan kategori rendah pada kelas pembelajaran konvensional. Simpulan yang didapat dari penelitian ini yaitu, 1) model problem-based learning terintegrasi profil pelajar Pancasila dan model pembelajaran konvensional memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis, 2) terdapat perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan diantara model problem-based learning terintegrasi profil pelajar Pancasila dan pembelajaran konvensional dengan perolehan peningkatan kelas model problem-based learning terintegrasi profil pelajar Pancasila lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran konvensional. Mathematics is a highly significant discipline for human life. Apart from its practical applications in daily life, mathematics also forms the foundation for various other fields of knowledge. Hence, it is crucial to master mathematical comprehension ability from an early stage. Through the implementation of the problem-based learning model integrated with the “Profil Pelajar Pancasila”, teachers strive to optimize the learning process, thereby enhancing mathematical comprehension abilities. This research aims to investigate the effect of mathematical comprehension abilities by employing the problem-based learning model integrated with the “Profil Pelajar Pancasila” and the conventional teaching model. The study employs a quasi-experimental method utilizing the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The instruments employed encompass mathematical comprehension test items, teacher and student observation guidelines, as well as valid and reliable student journals. Data are collected from the administered instruments, subsequently processed, and analyzed to conclude by conducting tests for normality, homogeneity, mean difference, and n-gain. The research findings reveal the following: 1) a positive effect exists from the problem-based learning model integrated with the “Profil Pelajar Pancasila” on mathematical comprehension abilities, 2) a positive effect is observed from the conventional teaching model on mathematical comprehension abilities. Furthermore, the n-gain test outcomes indicate a moderate enhancement in mathematical comprehension, categorized as moderate in the class utilizing the problem-based learning model integrated with the “Profil Pelajar Pancasila”, while a low-level improvement is noted in the conventional teaching class. The conclusions drawn from this research are as follows: 1) the problem-based learning model integrated with the “Profil Pelajar Pancasila” and the conventional teaching model exert a positive effect on mathematical comprehension abilities, 2) significant differences in effect are apparent between the problem-based learning model integrated with the “Profil Pelajar Pancasila” and the conventional teaching model. The achievement of improvement in the problem-based learning model integrated with the “Profil Pelajar Pancasila” class surpasses that of the conventional teaching class.
