Abstract

Keterampilan berbahasa di sekolah didapatkan siswa melalui pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Terdapat empat aspek keterampilan berbahasa pada kurikulum 2013 yaitu keterampilan berbicara, keterampilan membaca, keterampilan menulis dan keterampilan menyimak. Salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang penting dan diperlukan yaitu keterampilan menulis. Berdasarkan hasil data yang diperolah sebelum dilakukannya penelitian, diketahui bahwa keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas V SDIT Cendekia masih rendah. Maka peneliti mencoba untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran Concept Sentence dengan tujuan untuk dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, melalui 2 siklus yang diawali dengan pra siklus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDIT Cendekia dengan subjek penelitian 19 siswa. Terdapat peningkatan pada keterampilan siswa dalam menulis karangan narasi setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Concept Sentence yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Rata-rata hasil tes keterampilan menulis karangan narasi pada pra siklus diperoleh 50,8 dengan jumlah siswa tuntas sebanyak 2 siswa. Siklus I memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 66,41 dengan jumlah siswa tuntas sebanyak 11 siswa dan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 57%. Siklus II memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 80,94 dengan jumlah siswa tuntas sebanyak 17 siswa dan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 89%. Dengan demikian penerapan model pembelajaran Concept Sentence dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi pada siswa sekolah dasar. ----- Students obtain language skills at school through Indonesian language learning. There are four aspects of language skills in the 2013 curriculum: speaking, reading, writing, and listening. One of the essential language skills is writing skills. Based on the results of the data obtained before the research, it is known that the narrative essay writing skills of grade V students of SDIT Cendekia still need to improve. So, the researcher tried to apply the Concept Sentence learning model to enhance students’ narrative essay writing skills. This research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with Kemmis and Mc. Taggart went through 2 cycles which began with a pre-cycle. They conducted this research at SDIT Cendekia with 19 students as research subjects. There was an increase in students’ skills in writing narrative essays after applying the Concept Sentence learning model, as shown by the results of students’ activities and learning outcomes. The average test results of narrative essay writing skills in the pre-cycle obtained 50,8 with several complete students, as many as two students. Cycle I obtained an average score of 66,41 with 11 students and a percentage of completeness of 57%. Cycle II obtained an average score of 80,94 with 17 students and a portion of completeness of 89%. Thus, applying the Concept Sentence learning model can improve narrative essay writing skills in elementary school students.
