Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kaitan antara gaya belajar siswa dengan kemampuan penalaran matematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek yang terlibat sebanyak 8 orang siswa kelas VII SMP di salah satu sekolah negeri di Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket gaya belajar, tes tertulis, dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh, siswa dengan gaya belajar visual dan kemampuan penalaran matematis tinggi telah memenuhi tiga indikator yaitu mengajukan dugaan, memeriksa kesahihan argumen, dan menarik kesimpulan. Siswa dengan gaya belajar visual dengan kemampuan penalaran sedang memenuhi dua indikator yaitu mengajukan dugaan dan memeriksa kesahihan argumen. Sedangkan siswa dengan gaya belajar visual dan berkemampuan penalaran matematis rendah tidak satupun indikator yang dipenuhi. Siswa dengan gaya belajar auditorial dan kemampuan penalaran matematis tinggi telah memenuhi tiga indikator yaitu mengajukan dugaan, memeriksa kesahihan argumen, dan menarik kesimpulan. Siswa dengan gaya belajar auditorial dan kemampuan penalaran matematis sedang memenuhi dua indikator yaitu mengajukan dugaan dan memeriksa kesahihan argumen. Sedangkan siswa dengan gaya belajar auditorial dan kemampuan penalaran matematis rendah hanya memenuhi indikator mengajukan dugaan. Siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik dan kemampuan penalaran matematis sedang memenuhi indikator yaitu mengajukan dugaan dan memeriksa kesahihan argumen. Sedangkan siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik dan kemampuan penalaran matematis rendah hanya mengajukan dugaan. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subjects involved were 8 students from a Grade VII high school at a public school in Bandung Regency, West Java. Based on the research results obtained, students with an intuitive learning style and high mathematical reasoning ability successfully completed three indicators of making conjectures, checking the correctness of arguments, and drawing conclusions. draw conclusions. Students with visual learning styles and moderate reasoning skills respond to two cues: making a guess and checking the validity of an argument. Meanwhile, students with visual learning styles and poor mathematical reasoning abilities did not meet any of the criteria. Students with an auditory learning style and high mathematical reasoning ability performed well on the three metrics of constructing conjectures, checking the correctness of arguments, and drawing conclusions. Students with an auditory learning style and mathematical reasoning skills meet two metrics: constructing conjectures and testing the validity of arguments. Meanwhile, students with auditory learning styles and weak mathematical reasoning skills only responded to conjectures. Students with kinesthetic learning styles and mathematical reasoning abilities complete the metrics, namely constructing conjectures and checking the validity of arguments. Meanwhile, students with motoric/kinesthetic learning styles and weak mathematical reasoning skills can only guess.
