Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji struktur kalimat abstrak artikel jurnal penelitian dan abstrak skripsi mahasiswa. Pentingnya menulis akademik bagi mahasiswa dan fakta bahwa mahasiswa dari Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Korea di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia diwajibkan menulis abstrak penelitian berbahasa Korea di dalam tugas akhir, menjadi latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur kalimat bahasa Korea pada abstrak skripsi mahasiswa dan pada abstrak artikel jurnal dengan topik pembelajaran bahasa berdasarkan teori kalimat majemuk Kim (2015) dan Kim (2015), dan perbedaan antara kedua jenis abstrak yang menjadi objek penelitian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan objek penelitiannya yaitu 20 abstrak artikel jurnal penelitian dari Korean Journal of General Education dan 20 abstrak skripsi berbahasa Korea dari Repository Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kalimat yang paling banyak muncul pada abstrak skripsi mahasiswa dan abstrak artikel jurnal adalah kalimat majemuk dengan klausa/klausa prenoun (관형절) yang menghiasi/menjelaskan noun phrase (체언). Pada kedua jenis abstrak juga banyak ditemukan kalimat majemuk bersambung (이어진 문장) yang menyatakan kesetaraan atau urutan kejadian dalam kalimat (나열). Selain itu, kalimat yang mengungkapkan tujuan menggunakan partikel -고자 dan -기 위하다 ditemukan dalam abstrak skripsi dan abstrak artikel jurnal. Adapun perbedaan antara abstrak skripsi penelitian yang ditulis oleh orang Korea dengan abstrak skripsi yang ditulis oleh mahasiswa Indonesia adalah pada kalimat yang menyatakan tujuan penelitian. Abstrak skripsi yang ditulis oleh mahasiswa Indonesia lebih banyak menyampaikan tujuan penelitian secara kontekstual, sedangkan abstrak artikel jurnal yang ditulis oleh orang Korea lebih banyak menyampaikan tujuan penelitian secara gramatikal. This study examines the sentence structure of research journal article abstracts and student thesis abstracts. The importance of academic writing for students and the fact that students from the Department of Korean Language Education at Indonesian University of Education are required to write research abstracts in Korean for their thesis became the background for conducting this research. This study aims to determine the structure of Korean sentences in university student thesis abstracts and Korean sentences in journal article abstracts based on the theory of compound sentences by Kim (2015) and Kim (2015). This study also determines the differences between the two types of abstracts in this research object. This research is qualitative research with the research objects being 20 journal article abstracts from the Korean Journal of General Education and 20 Korean language thesis abstracts from the Indonesian Education University Repository. The results showed that the sentences that appeared the most in student thesis abstracts and journal article abstracts were compound sentences with prenoun clauses (관형절) that explain the noun phrases (체언). In both types of abstract, there are also many continuous compound sentences (이어진 문장) which express equality or sequence of events in sentences (나열). In addition, sentences expressing the purpose using -고자 and -기 위하다 are found in the thesis abstracts and journal article abstracts. The difference between research thesis abstracts written by Koreans and thesis abstracts written by Indonesian students is the sentences that state the research objectives. Thesis abstracts written by Indonesian students convey research objectives more contextually, while journal article abstracts written by Koreans convey more research objectives grammatically.
