    Abstract

    Literasi matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan matematis yang penting untuk dimiliki
    oleh siswa. Namun, masih banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konteks
    soal dan mengaitkannya dengan matematika. Saat menghadapi kesulitan dalam matematika,
    setiap siswa memiliki respons yang berbeda. Adversity Quotient (AQ) sebagai salah satu jenis
    pengelompokan kecerdasan seseorang dapat membantu menggambarkan respons siswa dalam
    menyelesaikan masalah-masalah matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan
    literasi matematis siswa SMA ditinjau Adversity Quotient (AQ). Penelitian ini menggunakan
    pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas
    XI salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini
    berupa tes literasi matematis, angket Adversity Response Profile (ARP), dan wawancara.
    Literasi matematis dalam penelitian ini diukur melalui tiga indikator, yaitu: (1) merumuskan
    situasi secara matematis, (2) menerapkan konsep, fakta, prosedur, dan penalaran matematis,
    serta (3) menerapkan dan mengevaluasi hasil matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
    bahwa subjek yang memiliki AQ tipe quitter tidak memenuhi ketiga indikator literasi
    matematis dan mudah menyerah saat menghadapi soal yang sulit. Subjek yang memiliki AQ
    tipe camper memenuhi indikator merumuskan situasi secara matematis dan masih berusaha
    saat dihadapkan dengan soal yang sulit. Subjek yang memiliki AQ tipe climber juga hanya
    memenuhi indikator merumuskan situasi secara matematis, tetapi mampu menyusun dan
    menyelesaikan SPLTV dengan runtut, lengkap, dan benar. Siswa dengan AQ tipe climber
    berusaha mengerjakan semua soal yang ada meskipun tidak semua jawabannya benar dan
    lengkap.

    Mathematical literacy is one of the important mathematical abilities to be possessed by
    students. However, there are still many students who have difficulty in understanding the
    context of the problem and relating it to mathematics. When facing difficulties in mathematics,
    each student has a different response. Adversity Quotient (AQ) as a type of intelligence
    grouping can help describe students' responses in solving mathematical problems. This study
    aims to describe the mathematical literacy of senior high school students in terms of Adversity
    Quotient (AQ). This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects
    in this study were grade XI students of one of the public high schools in Bandung City. The
    instruments used in this study were mathematical literacy test, Adversity Response Profile
    (ARP) questionnaire, and interview. Mathematical literacy in this study was measured through
    three indicators, namely: (1) formulating situations mathematically, (2) applying concepts,
    facts, procedures, and reasoning, and (3) applying and evaluating mathematical results. The
    results showed that subjects with the quitter type AQ did not fulfill the three indicators of
    mathematical literacy and gave up easily when faced with difficult problems. Subjects who
    have the camper type AQ fulfill the indicator of formulating the situation mathematically and
    still try when faced with difficult problems. Subjects who have AQ of the climber type also
    only fulfill the indicator of formulating the situation mathematically, but are able to compose
    and solve SPLTV coherently, completely, and correctly. Students with the climber type AQ try
    to work on all the problems even though not all the answers are correct and complete.
