Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya minat belajar terhadap mata pelajaran matematika, peserta didik masih menganggap bahwa pelajaran matematika adalah mata pelajaran yang sulit untuk dipelajari dan membosankan sehingga hal ini berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik sehingga peserta didik kurang dalam memahami materi mengumpulkan, mengolah, dan menyajikan data. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika di SDN Mekarwangi kelas IV materi pengolahan data. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Quasi Experimental Design, terdapat du akelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Populasi yang dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh kelas IV SDN Mekarwangi sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas IV-A (kelas eksperimen) dan kelas IV-B (kelas kontrol). Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar tes berbentuk pilihan ganda (objektif) sedangkan analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Data kuantitatif penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil pre-test dan post-test peserta didik. Pada hasil penelitian ini diperoleh data yang signifikan, terdapat peningkatan antara data pre-test dengan data post-test peserta didik baik kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol. Setelah dilakukan uji n-gain pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh rata-rata 56,8% sehingga termasuk kategori cukup sedangkan pada kelas kontrol diperoleh rata-rata 15,5% yang termasuk kategori tidak efektif. Maka, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika materi pengolahan data. This reseach is motivated by a lack of interest in learning about mathematics, students still think thad mathematics is a subject that is difficult to learn and boring so that this affects student learning outcomes so that students are less able to understand material in collecting, processing, and present data. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of the talking stick type of cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes in mathematics at SDN Mekarwangi class IV on data processing. The method used in this study is Quasi Experimental Design, there are two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The population in this study were all class IV of SDN Mekarwangi while the samples in this study were class IV-A (experimental class) and class IV-B (control class). The instrument used in this study was a multiple choice test sheet (objective) while data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Quantitative data for this study were obtained from the results of the students' pre-test and post-test. The results of this study obtained significant data, there was an increase between the pre-test data and the post-test data of students in both the experimental class and the control class. After the n-gain test was carried out in the experimental class, it was obtained an average of 56.8% so that it was included in the sufficient category while in the control class it was obtained an average of 15.5% which was included in the ineffective category. So, the cooperative learning model of the talking stick type has an effect on student learning outcomes in mathematics subject data processing material.
