Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kegiatan dan peran orang tua terhadap pembelajaran numerasi di rumah ditinjau berdasarkan orang tua dengan jenis pekerjaan yang berbeda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 orang siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar yang mewakili jenis pekerjaan orang tua, yaitu sebagai wirausaha, wiraswasta, dan guru honorer. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan pedoman angket dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini adalah peran orang tua dalam kegiatan berhitung di rumah (1) orang tua yang berprofesi sebagai wirausaha dalam pembelajaran berhitung di rumah, telah berperan dengan baik dan kompak dalam menyediakan fasilitas yang mendukung kegiatan berhitung di rumah, (2) orang tua yang berprofesi sebagai wiraswasta dalam kegiatan berhitung di rumah, cukup baik dalam menyediakan fasilitas kegiatan berhitung di rumah, hal ini karena orang tua kurang kompak dan kurang terlibat dalam proses anak belajar berhitung di rumah, (3) sedangkan orang tua yang berprofesi sebagai guru honorer telah berperan sangat baik dalam menyediakan fasilitas kegiatan berhitung di rumah, dan selalu memberikan motivasi serta membimbing anak saat proses belajar berhitung di rumah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa peran orang tua memiliki peranan penting terhadap proses belajar berhitung di rumah. The purpose of this study was to find out how the activities and roles of parents towards numeracy learning at home were reviewed based on parents with different types of work. The research method used is qualitative descriptive research. The population in this study was 3 grade II elementary school students who represented the types of work of parents, namely as entrepreneurs, self-employed, and honorary teachers. Data was collected using questionnaire guidelines and interview guidelines. The results of this study are the role of parents in numeracy activities at home (1) parents who work as entrepreneurs in learning to count at home, have played a good and compact role in providing facilities that support counting activities at home, (2) parents who work as entrepreneurs in numeracy activities at home, are quite good in providing facilities for numeracy activities at home, this is because parents are less compact and less involved in the process of children learning to count at home, (3) while parents who work as honorary teachers have played a very good role in providing facilities for counting activities at home, and always provide motivation and guide children during the process of learning to count at home. This shows that the role of parents has an important role in the process of learning to count at home.
