Abstract

ABSTRAK Media audio sebagai media penyampaian informasi bagi difabel netra mulai berkembang. Podcast sebagai salah satu bentuk pengembangan media audio menawarkan kemudahan akses yang terjangkau bagi penggunanya, terlebih dapat diakses melalui Platform Spotify dimana saja dan kapan saja pada ponsel pintar. Podcast di platform Spotify menawarkan informasi beragam, sehingga berpotensi memenuhi kebutuhan informasi termasuk kebutuhan informasi fiksi sebagai sarana hiburan difabel netra. Inovasi pengembangan podcast diharapkan dapat berkontribusi menciptakan alternatif media pemenuhan koleksi fiksi yang beragam, mudah diakses dan terjangkau. Serta menyelaraskan ketersediaan koleksi difabel netra selain buku braille, sehingga difabel netra yang kurang cakap dalam membaca braille tetap dapat memanfaatkan media audio ramah difabel netra. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui tahapan perencanaan serta pengembangan rancangan podcast di platform Spotify sebagai pemenuhan koleksi fiksi ramah difabel netra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design and Development dengan enam tahapan diawali identify the problems, describe the objectives, design and development the artifact, test the artifact, evaluate the results of testing, dan diakhiri tahap communicate the testing result. Partisipan meliputi ahli media dan ahli naskah sebagai expert judgment produk, serta difabel netra pengurus organisasi Gantara Jabar sebagai pengguna (user) produk yang dirancang dan dikembangkan. Penelitian berlokasi di Kawasan Sentra Wyata Guna Pajajaran, Bandung khususnya di Perpustakaan Braille, dan Organisasi Gantara Jabar. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui hasil observasi ke lapangan, wawancara, serta angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan penilaian skala likert dan dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah produk Podcast “Podcarisweet Cerita Bersuara” pada platform Spotify sebagai alternatif koleksi fiksi bagi difabel netra dengan kriteria sangat baik dan layak didistribusikan kepada difabel netra berdasarkan uji validasi ahli media, naskah penggunaa dengan tetap konsistensi memperbaiki kekurangan untuk meningkatkan pengembangan produk menjadi lebih baik. ABSTRACT Audio media as a medium for conveying information for blind people is starting to develop. Podcast as a form of audio media development offers easy accessible access for its users, moreover it can be accessed through the Spotify Platform anywhere and anytime on a smartphone. Podcasts on the Spotify platform offer a variety of information, so that they have the potential to meet information needs, including the need for fictional information as a means of entertainment for blind people. Podcast development innovation is expected to contribute to creating alternative media to fulfill diverse, easily accessible and affordable fiction collections. As well as harmonizing the availability of collections for the blind besides braille books, so that the blind who are less proficient in reading Braille can still take advantage of audio media that is friendly for the blind. The aim of the research is to find out the stages of planning and developing a podcast design on the Spotify platform as a fulfillment of a collection of fiction that is friendly for blind people. This study uses the Design and Development method with six stages starting with identify the problems, describe the objectives, design and development of the artifact, test the artifact, evaluate the results of testing, and end with the communicate the testing result stage. Participants included media experts and script experts as product judgment experts, as well as visually impaired administrators of the Gantara Jabar organization as users of the products designed and developed. The research is located in the Wyata Guna Pajajaran Sentra Area, Bandung, especially in the Braille Library, and the West Java Gantara Organization. Data collection techniques through field observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses a Likert scale rating and is described descriptively. The results of this study are the Podcast product “Podcarisweet Stories Bervoice” on the Spotify platform as an alternative fiction collection for the visually impaired with very good criteria and is suitable for distribution to the visually impaired based on media expert validation tests, user scripts with consistency correcting deficiencies to improve product development.
