Abstract

Kajian mengenai nilai pendidikan karakter pada buku siswa masih minim, sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Nilai Pendidikan Karakter pada Buku Siswa Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti SMP Kurikulum Merdeka kelas VII dan kelas VIII serta relevansinya dengan pendidikan karakter pada Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena penerapan nilai karakter pada fungsi dan tujuan sistem pendidikan nasional dinilai belum berhasil sehingga pemerintah melakukan upaya melalui inovasi kurikulum. Kurikulum 2013 diperbarui menjadi Kurikulum Merdeka. Ada pun dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter pada mata pelajaran PAI belum sepenuhnya berhasil. Ada beberapa tantangan yang harus diatasi seperti sebagian guru masih belum memahami bagaimana pendidikan karakter dalam kurikulum merdeka. Selain itu, pada buku Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti Kurikulum 2013 terdapat sejumlah kesalahan. Maka diperlukan tinjauan ulang pada Buku Siswa Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti SMP Kurikulum Merdeka khususnya mengenai nilai pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan Library Research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat relevansi antara nilai pendidikan karakter dalam Buku Siswa Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti SMP dengan nilai pendidikan karakter pada Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Hal ini membuktikan buku tersebut dinilai sudah sesuai dengan pedoman yang merujuk pada Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Ada pun nilai yang terkandung dalam Buku Siswa Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti SMP tersebut mencakup beberapa dimensi, yaitu: Beriman, Bertakwa Kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, dan Berahlak Mulia; Berkebhinekaan Global; Bergotong Royong; Mandiri; Bernalar Kritis; dan Kreatif. Studies on the value of character education in student books are still minimal, so this study aims to analyze the value of character education in Islamic Religious Education and Moral Education Student Books at Merdeka Curriculum Class VII and Class VIII and its relevance to character education in the Pancasila Student Profile. This research was conducted because the application of character values to the functions and objectives of the national education system was considered unsuccessful, so the government made efforts through curriculum innovation. The 2013 curriculum was updated to become the Merdeka Curriculum. As for implementing character education in PAI subjects, it has not been fully successful. There are several challenges that must be overcome, such as some teachers still don't understand how character education is in an independent curriculum. In addition, in the book Islamic Religious Education and Curriculum 2013, there are a number of errors. So a review is needed on the Islamic Religious Education Student's Book and the Characteristics of the Merdeka Curriculum Middle School, especially regarding the value of character education. This study uses qualitative research with the Library Research approach. The results of the study show that there is a relevance between the values of character education in the Student Books for Islamic Religious Education and Middle School Characteristics and the values of character education in the Pancasila Student Profile. This proves that the book is considered in accordance with the guidelines referring to the Pancasila Student Profile. The values contained in the Middle School Islamic Religious Education and Moral Education Student Book cover several dimensions, namely: Faith, Fear of God Almighty, and Noble Morals; Global Diversity; Worked together; Independent; Critical Reasoning; and Creative.
