Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh meningkatnya kasus intoleran di Indonesia. Menurut hasil survei, didapati data bahwa fenomena intoleransi di Indonesia dari tahun ke tahun mengalami peningkatan yang semulanya 46% sekarang ini menjadi 54%. Hal tersebut tentunya cukup menghawatirkan mengingat konstitusi di Indonesia menjamin hak setiap warga negara. Kasus intoleran juga diterima oleh masyarakat penghayat kepercayaan sunda budi daya, salah satu bentuknya adalah intoleransi dalam hal administrasi. Penelitian ini meenggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif, dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus. Tujuan khusus dalam penelitian ini adalah: Pertama, Menganalisis Proses penerapan nilai toleransi; Kedua, Mendeskripsikan hambatan dan upaya dari penerapan nilai toleransi; Ketiga, Mengetahui hasil dari penerapan nilai toleransi; Keempat, Mengetahui Evaluasi penerapan nilai toleransi Dalam Mengembangkan Keadaban Warga Negara Pada Masyarakat Penghayat Kepercayaan Sunda budi daya di Kecamatan Lembang. Adapun tujuan jangka panjang penelitian ini adalah guna mengembangkan keadaban warga negara demi menciptakan masyarakat yang harmonis, mengedepankan sikap toleransi, saling menghormati terhadap perbedaan dan keberagaman sesuai dengan semboyan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan nilai toleransi pada masyarakat penghayat kepercayaan sunda budi daya di Kecamatan Lembang memiliki implikasi positif terhadap upaya mengembangkan keadaban warga negara (civic virtue). Kata Kunci: Toleransi, Budi Daya, Civic Virtue, Masyarakat ABSTRACT ARYA DESTIAN (1805479) THE APPLICATION OF THE VALUE OF TOLERANCE IN DEVELOPING CIVIC VIRTUE IN THE COMMUNITY OF SUNDA BELIEFS (Case Study of the Cultivated Sundanese Belief Budi Daya’s Community in Lembang District) This research is motivated by the increasing cases of intolerance in Indonesia. According to the survey results, it was found that the phenomenon of intolerance in Indonesia has increased from year to year from 46% to 54%. This is certainly quite worrying considering that the constitution in Indonesia guarantees the rights of every citizen. Intolerance cases are also accepted by the people of Sundanese belief in cultivation, one form of which is intolerance in terms of administration. This study uses a qualitative research approach, using a case study qualitative method. The specific objectives of this research are: First, to analyze the process of applying the tolerance value; Second, describe the obstacles and efforts from the application of the value of tolerance; Third, knowing the results of the application of the tolerance value; Fourth, knowing the evaluation of the application of the value of tolerance in developing civility of citizens in the Sundanese culture of practicing believers in Lembang District. The long-term goal of this research is to develop the civility of citizens in order to create a harmonious society, promote tolerance, mutual respect for differences and diversity in accordance with the motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. The results of this study indicate that the application of the value of tolerance in the community who adheres to the Sundanese belief in cultivation in Lembang District has positive implications for efforts to develop civic virtue.
