Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berdasar pada temuan yaitu peserta didik kelas II belum mengetahui konsep perkalian bilangan cacah dikarenakan belum terpenuhinya indikator kemampuan pemahaman matematis, serta tidak digunakannya media konkret dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis peserta didik kelas II pada konsep perkalian bilangan cacah melalui media congklak. Manfaat penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik bisa praktik secara langsung menggunakan media konkret dan dapat mengenalkan permainan tradisional. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu kelas II sebanyak 40 peserta didik, 20 peserta didik kelas kontrol (SDN 1 Sukapura) dan 20 peserta didik kelas eksperimen (SDN 2 Sukapura). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif jenis quasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design pre-test post-test. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis dari masing-masing kelas, hasil pre-test dan post-test kedua kelas diuji menggunakan SPSS versi 16.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada saat pre-test kemampuan kelas kontrol mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 49,50 dan pada post-test mendapatkan rata-rata 56,85. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata pre-test kelas ekperimen 49,55 dan pada post-test mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 80,50. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis antara peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran perkalian bilangan cacah menggunakan media congklak dan peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran perkalian bilangan cacah tanpa menggunakan media congklak, serta peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis peserta didik kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan pemahaman matematis peserta didik kelas kontrol. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis; Kelas II; Perkalian; Media Congklak; SPSS 16.0 ABSTRACT This research is based on the findings that grade II students do not yet know the concept of multiplication of whole numbers because the indicators of mathematical understanding ability have not been fulfilled, and concrete media are not used in learning. The purpose of this study was to see the increase in the mathematical understanding ability of grade II students on the concept of multiplication of whole numbers through congklak media. The benefit of this research is that students can practice directly using concrete media and can introduce traditional games. The samples used in the study were 40 students in class II, 20 students in the control class (SDN 1 Sukapura) and 20 students in the experimental class (SDN 2 Sukapura). This research is a quasi-experimental quantitative research with Nonequivalent Control Group Design pre-test post-test. To determine the increase in the mathematical understanding ability of each class, the results of the pre-test and post-test of both classes were tested using SPSS version 16.0. The results showed that at the pre-test the ability of the control class got an average score of 49.50 and at the post-test it got an average of 56.85. While the average value of the pre-test experimental class was 49.55 and the post-test got an average value of 80.50. It can be concluded that there is a difference in increasing mathematical understanding skills between students who receive whole number multiplication learning using congklak media and students who receive whole number multiplication learning without using congklak media, and the increase in mathematical understanding abilities of experimental class students is higher than the mathematical understanding ability of control class students.
