Abstract

Berpikir kritis merupakan keterampilan yang sangat penting pada abad 21, tetapi beberapa penelitian menyebutkan jika keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa masih dalam kategori rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMA pada materi momentum dan impuls. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode embedded experimental model. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari soal tes uraian berbasis pada keterampilan berpikir kritis dan LKPD materi momentum dan impuls. Sampel pada penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas X di salah satu SMA di kota Bandung. Pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning dianalisis dengan menggunakan effect size, hasil LKPD ditampilkan dalam bentuk persentase, peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dianalisis berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest serta video proses pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran problem based learning berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan kategori besar dengan nilai effect size sebesar 1,05. Hasil LKPD menunjukan menunjukan persentase indikator yang paling besar yaitu analysis dan explanation, dengan persentase sama sama sebesar 20%. Indikator dengan nilai persentase paling kecil yaitu self regulation, dengan persentase sebesar 11%. Dari hasil video proses pembelajaran, proses pembelajaran berlangsung sesuai dengan langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning, yaitu orientasi siswa kepada masalah, organisasi siswa terhadap pembelajaran, melakukan investigasi mandiri dan kelompok, mengembangkan dan mempresentasikan hasil karya, menganalisis dan mengevaluasi proses pemecahan masalah. Critical thinking is a very important skill in the 21st century, but several studies say that students' critical thinking skills are still in the low category. This study aims to obtain an overview of the effect of the problem based learning (PBL) model on critical thinking skills of high school students on momentum and impulse. This research is an experimental research and the method used in this research is the embedded experimental model method. The research instrument used consisted of essay test questions based on critical thinking skills and student woorksheets on momentum and impulse. The sample in this study consisted of two class X in one high school in Bandung. The effect of the application of the problem based learning model is analyzed using effect size, the results of the LKPD are displayed in the form of a percentage, the improvement of critical thinking skills is analyzed based on the results of the pretest and posttest as well as the video of the learning process. Problem based learning model affects critical thinking skills with a large category with an effect size value of 1.05. The results of the LKPD show that the percentage of indicators that are the largest is analysis and explanation, with the same percentage of 20%. The indicator with the smallest percentage value is self-regulation, with a percentage of 11%. From the results of the video learning process, the learning process takes place according to the learning steps that are in accordance with the problem based learning learning model, namely student orientation to problems, student organization towards learning, conducting independent and group investigations, developing and presenting work, analyzing and evaluating problem solving process.
