Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas bimbingan dan konseling dengan pendekatan teknik permainan gestalt (TPG) untuk meningkatkan adaptabilitas santri di pondok pesantren. Penelitian ini didasari oleh masih minimnya pendekatan layanan bimbingan dan konseling dalam membantu santri meningkatkan kemampuan menyesuaikan diri di pondok pesantren terutama pada aspek adaptabilitasnya. Studi eksperimen dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain pretest-posttest nonequivalent group melibatkan empat kelompok santri dari dua pondok pesantren. Kajian efektivitas TPG dalam meningkatkan adaptabilitas santri di pondok pesantren dilakukan dengan mengendalikan perbedaan adaptabilitas sebelum perlakuan, selain itu dilihat pengaruh religiusitas, jenis kelamin dan lingkungan pondok pesantren terhadap efektivitas TPG. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan Ancova (Analysis of Covariance) dan Anava Dua Jalur (Two-way Anova). Penelitian ini menghasilkan sejumlah temuan. Pertama, teknik permainan gestalt (TPG) terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan adaptabilitas santri pada dua pondok pesantren yang diteliti. Kedua, teknik permainan gestalt (TPG) dalam meningkatkan adaptabilitas santri dipengaruhi oleh religiusitas santri. Ketiga, teknik permainan gestalt (TPG) dalam meningkatkan adaptabilitas santri tidak dipengaruhi oleh jenis kelamin dan lingkungan pondok pesantren. Dengan demikian, TPG dapat dipertimbangkan sebagai alternatif pendekatan untuk meningkatkan adaptabilitas santri di pondok pesantren salafiyah dan modern. Rekomendasi ditujukan kepada : pengelola pondok pesantren, gagasan atau ide menggunakan bimbingan dan konseling TPG dalam meningkatkan adaptabilitas santri di pondok pesantren mendampingi pola bimbingan khas pondok pesantren kiranya dapat dipertimbangkan; konselor, TPG dapat menjadi alternatif pendekatan dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling; dan peneliti selanjutnya, direkomendasikan untuk mengembangkan TPG pada pondok pesantren yang berbeda dengan mempertimbangkan aspek IQ, motivasi dan billingual pada santri yang diteliti, juga mempertimbangkan penambahan waktu layanan bimbingan dan konseling. This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of guidance counseling with the approach of Gestalt Playing Technique in improving the adaptability of Islamic boarding school’s students in Islamic boarding school’s. This research is conducted with the consideration of the substandard approach of guidance counseling’s service in assisting Islamic boarding schools focusing mainly on the aspect of adaptability. The design used in this study is pretest-posttest nonequivalent group wich involves four groups of Islamic boarding school’s students coming from two different Islamic boarding schools. The studi of TPG’s effectiveness in improving Islamic boarding school’s students in Islamic boarding school is carried out by controlling the difference of adaptability before treatment. Other than that, it is also observed by viewing the influence of religiosity, sexes and the Islamic boarding school’s environment on the effectiveness of TPG. The study is further analyzed by employing both analysis of Covariance and Two-way Anova. This study results in a number of findings. First, Gestalt Playing Technique (TPG) is proven to be effective in improving the adaptability of Islamic boarding school’s students in both Islamic boarding schools wich become the focus of the study. Second, Gestalt Playing Technique (TPG) is influenced by religiosity. Third, Gestalt Playing Technique (TPG) is not influenced by sexes and Islamic boarding school’s environment. Therefore, TPG can be considered to be an alternative approach in order to improve the adaptability of Islamic boarding school’s students to be applied in either the Salafiyah Islamic boarding schoolor that in the modern one. Recommendation is forwarded to: Islamic boarding school’s management; it is expected that the management can positively respond on the idea to use guidancecounseling with TPG as the technique in improving the adaptability of Islamic boarding school’s students in Islamic boarding schools and it is to be associated with the special pattern of technique that has been applied in the school; Counselor, it is probable that TPG can be an alternative approach in guidance counseling services; and the next researcher, it is recommended that this TPG can be applied and developed in different Islamic boarding school’s by considering the students’IQ, motivation, and bilingual and also the additional time of guidance and conseling.
