Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh(effect size) penerapan model problem based learning (PjBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada pembelajaran matematika. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah meta analisis dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif.. Data empiris diperoleh dengan menggunakan mesin pencari elektronik seperti Google Scholar, Portal Garuda, ERIC, SINTA dan URL jurnal nasional, dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah dalam bentuk pengkodean (coding). Analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan perangkat lunak Comprehensive Meta-Analysis(CMA). Penelitian ini review delapan jurnal penelitian dan satu skripsi mengenai model PjBL dalam mempengaruhikemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada pembelajaran matematika. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan pengaruh penerapan PjBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa memperoleh kategori efek sedang. Selanjutnya effect size penerapan PjBL terhadap kemampuanberpikir kritis matematis siswa berdasarkan karakteristik jenjang pendidikan lebih efektif digunakan pada siswa di jenjang pendidikan Sekolah Dasar daripada siswa di jenjang pendidikan Sekolah Menengah dan perguruan Tinggi. Kemudian berdasarkan karakteristik ukuran sampel lebih efektif digunakan pada ukuran sampel yang kurang dari 30 siswa. Terakhir berdasarkan karakteristik pembelajaran selama eksprimen eksprimen diperoleh tidak adanya pengaruh PjBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis   ABSTRACT Yanheni Susiyanti, (2021). Meta-Analysis of the Effect of Project Based Learning Model on Students' Mathematical Critical Thinking Ability This study aims to determine the effect size of the application of the problem based learning (PjBL) model on students' critical thinking skills in learning mathematics. The type of research used is a meta-analysis from previous research. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method. Empirical data were obtained using electronic search engines such as Google Scholar, Garuda Portal, ERIC, SINTA and URLs of national journals, and the instrument used was in coding form. Data analysis was performed with the help of Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) software. This study reviews eight research journals and one thesis on the PjBL model in influencing students' critical thinking skills in learning mathematics. The results of this study indicate that the overall effect of the implementation of PjBL on students' mathematical critical thinking skills has a moderate effect category. Furthermore, the effect size of the implementation of PjBL on students' mathematical critical thinking skills based on the characteristics of the level of education is more effective for students at the elementary school education level than students at the secondary and tertiary education levels. Then based on the characteristics of the sample size, it is more effective to use a sample size of less than 30 students. Finally, based on the characteristics of learning during the experiment, it was obtained that there was no influence of PjBL on critical thinking skills
