Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya nilai ulangan siswa dikarenakan pengunaan model pembelajaran seorang guru yang kurang bervariasi. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar khususnya aspek kognitif siswa dalam kompetensi dasar menentukan sistem kearsipan pada siswa kelas X AP di SMK Negeri 1 Bandung. Penelitian menggunakan model pembelajaraan cooperative tipe snowball throwing. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian The nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 72 siswa yang terdiri dari 36 siswa untuk kelas eksperimen dan 36 siswa untuk kelas kontrol yang diperoleh dengan teknik sampel acak kelas pada siswa kelas X. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar aspek kognitif yang terdiri dari 18 butir soal berbentuk pilihan ganda. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji-t dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 20 for windows. Berdasarkan perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Hasil belajar dilihat dari rata-rata nilai gain ternormalisir pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0.29. Hasil tersebut termasuk kategori rendah. (2) Hasil belajar dilihat dari rata-rata nilai gain ternormalisir pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0.4 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori tinggi. (3) Hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol ditunjukkan oleh Sig.(2-tailed) uji-t sebesar 0,012 untuk hasil posttest, karena nilai signifikansinya 0,012 ≤0,05 maka H0 ditolak. Ini berarti hasil belajar aspek kognitif dengan penerapan Model Pembelajaran Cooperative tipe Snowball Throwing lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penerapan Model Pembelajaran Konvensional pada Kompetensi Dasar Menentukan Sistem Kearsipan. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kata Kunci : Cooperative Learning, Snowball Throwing, Hasil Belajar. This research is discussed by the low score of students exam because application of one theacher’s teaching model which lack of variation. This study attempts to improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes in basic competence in determining the archival system of grader X AP students in SMK Negeri 1 Bandung. The study used cooperative learning models with snowball throwing type. The method used was quasi-experimental research design with The nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects of this study were 72 students consisting of 36 students for experimental class and 36 students for control class obtained by random sampling technique in class X. The instruments used are the test results of students’ cognitive learning outcome consisting of 18 items of multiple choices. The data analysis technique used in this study is the t-test formula with the help of SPSS software version 20 for windows. Based on the calculations,it was known that: (1) the learning outcomes seen from the average value of the normalize gain on the control class was 0.29. This result is considered as low. (2) the learning outcome seen from the average value of the normalize gain on the experimental class was 0.4 which is included into a high category. (3) The results of the experimental class learning outcome were higher compared with the result in the control class shown by Sig. (2 - tailed) t-test was 0.012 for the post test results, because the significance value of 0.012 ≤ 0.05 then H0 is rejected. This means that the cognitive learning outcome with the application of Cooperative Learning Models with Snowball Throwing type was higher than the application of Conventional Learning Model towards The Basic Competence in Determining the Archival System.
