Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang berpengaruh dalam perkembangan Midscale dan Upper Scale Hotel di Kota Bandung yang kemudian digambarkan dalam peta sebaran dan pola persebaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode historis atau sejarah dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui sudi literatur dan juga internet searching. Teknik analisis yang digunakan merupakan analisis isi (content anylisis) dan juga mengadaptasi analisis pohon (problem tree anaylisis). Penarikan kesimpulan dari temuan menyatakan bahwa faktor yang berpengaruh dalam perkembangan Midscale dan Upper Scale Hotel di Kota Bandung adalah infrastruktur, kebijakan pemerintah dan kemajuan teknologi. Faktor tersebut didapatkan berdasarkan elemen dan fenomena pembangunan Kota Bandung. Peneliti menunjukan gambaran mengenai perkembangan Midscale dan Upper Scale Hotel di Kota Bandung melalui peta dan pola persebaran yang dapat disimpulkan bahwa Midscale dan Upper Midscale Hotel berkembang dari wilayah pusat kota atau sentral yang kemudian menyebar hampir keseluruh wilayah mengikuti pusat keramaian dan juga mengikuti arah tujuan wisatawan yang ditunjang oleh infrastruktur dan aksesibilitas. ABSTRACT This study aims to identify factors affecting the development of Midscale and Upper Scale Hotels in Bandung City are described in the distribution map and distribution pattern. The method used in this research is a historical method with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by study of literature and internet searching. The analysis technique used in this research is content analysis and also adapts the problem tree analysis. The conclusion from the findings states that the factors affecting the development of Midscale and Upper Scale Hotels in Bandung City are infrastructure, government policies, and technological advances. These factors are obtained based on the elements and phenomena of Bandung City development. Researchers show an overview of the development of Midscale and Upper Scale Hotels in Bandung City through the distribution maps and the distribution patterns which can be concluded that Midscale and Upper Midscale Hotels develop from the downtown or central area and then spreads to almost all areas following the center of the crowd and also following the direction of tourist destinations that supported by infrastructure and accessibility.
