Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan aspek penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Melalui pendidikan diharapkan mampu membentuk masyarakat yang memiliki karakter baik. Nilai karakter dapat ditanamkan melalui pendidikan, yakni dengan menyelipkan nilai karakter baik pada konsep pembelajaran.Tepatnya dapat ditemukan dalam buku tematik siswa. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pemaparan nilai-nilai karakter serta nilai dominan yang ada di buku tematik siswa kelas 4 semester 2 revisi tahun 2017 dan mengetahui arti penting dari penanaman nilai karakter yang dilakukan pada siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode analisis isi/konten analisis. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tabel pemandu pengumpulan analisis data, dan format wawancara. Sumber data berupa buku tematik siswa kelas 4 SD semester 2 revisi tahun 2017, hasil wawancara dan literatur. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan adanya penemuan ke 18 nilai karakter yang setiap tema memiliki jumlah nilai karakter yang berbeda-beda. Hal ini dikarenakan setiap tema memiliki topik bahasannya masing-masing yang menekankan pada tema yang berbeda-beda. Nilai yang mendominasi konsep pembelajaran pada buku tematik siswa kelas 4 SD semester 2 revisi tahun 2017 adalah cinta tanah air. Penanaman nilai karakter ini sangat penting untuk ditanamkan pada siswa sekolah dasar. Agar anak dapat menempatkan diri dengan baik dalam berinteraksi dengan orang lain dan diharapkan akan terbawa sampai masa dewasa dan terus tercermin dalam kehidupan sehari-harinya. ----- Education is an important aspect in human life. Through education is expected to be able to form a society that has good character. Character values can be instilled through education, namely by inserting good character values into the concept of learning. To be precise, it can be found in students' thematic books. The purpose of the study was to determine the exposure of character values and dominant values in the thematic books for grade 4 students in the 2nd semester revised in 2017 and to find out the importance of inculcating character values in elementary school students. This research is a qualitative research that uses the method of content analysis / content analysis. The instrument in this research is a guide table for data analysis collection, and interview format. The data source is in the form of thematic books for grade 4 elementary school students in the second semester of 2017, the results of interviews and literature. The results of this study indicate the discovery of 18 character values, each of which has a different number of character values. This is because each theme has its own topic of discussion which emphasizes on different themes. The value that dominates the concept of learning in the thematic book for grade 4 elementary school students in the second semester of 2017 revision is love for the homeland. This character value is very important to be instilled in elementary school students. So that children can place themselves well in interacting with others and are expected to be carried over into adulthood and continue to be reflected in their daily lives.
