    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model CORE dan siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran langsung. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol pretest posttest. Subjek penelitian yang terlibat pada penelitian ini terdiri dari sampel dua buah kelas VIII, tepatnya kelas VIIIA dan VIIID yang masing-masing terdiri dari 31 orang, sedangkan populasinya adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMPN 1 Lembang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis yang signifikan antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model CORE dan siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran langsung.--------The aim of the research is to know that there is a contrast mathematical reasoning ability between the students who have learning with CORE model and students who have learning direct instruction model. Method of the research used was quasi eksperiment with design control group pre-test and posttest. Sample of the research involves two classes of the eight grade, exactly class VIIIA and VIIID with 31 person each class,while the population is all students of the eight grade in Junior High School 1 Lembang. Result of the research showed that there is a big contrast mathematical reasoning ability between students who have learning with CORE model and students who have learning with direct instruction model.
