Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan media animasi pada materi menentukan karakteristik refrigeran sistem tata udara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain the matching-only pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini dibagi menjadi kelas ekperimen dan kelas kontrol. Peneliti menetapkan kelas XI TPTU B menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI TPTU A SMKN 1 Cimahi menjadi kelas kontrol. Kelas XI TPTU A dan B diberi pre-test kemudian diberi treatment berupa pembelajaran menggunakan media animasi pada kelas XI TPTU B dan kelas kontrol XI TPTU A tidak diterapkan perlakukan khusus, yaitu dengan media gambar. Setelah pemberian treatment, selanjutnya pada kelas eksperimen diberikan angket penilaian penerapan media dan kedua sampel diberi post-test menggunakan soal yang memiliki indikator serupa dengan pre-test yang telah dimodifikasi. Hasil penelitian untuk persentase nilai total respon siswa adalah 71,95% yang masuk dalam kategori menarik. Kategori tersebut diinterpretasikan terhadap hasil penerapan media animasi yaitu media animasi layak dan menarik untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran pada materi menentukan karakteristik refrigeran sistem tata udara. Hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan media animasi memiliki indeks prestasi kelompok lebih tinggi 45,94% daripada menggunakan media gambar pada kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan penilaian tersebut, media animasi yang diterapkan pada kelas eksperimen lebih mudah dan lebih baik dalam hasil proses pembelajaran siswa dibandingkan media gambar pada kelas kontrol khususnya pada materi menentukan karakteristik refrigeran sistem tata udara. ;--- This study aims to determine the effect of the application of animation media on the material to determine the characteristics of the refrigerant air system. The research method used was quasi-experimental with matching-only pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study was divided into experimental class and control class. The researcher set the class XI TPTU B to be the experimental class and class XI TPTU A SMK 1 Cimahi became the control class. Class XI TPTU A and B were given a pre-test and then given treatment in the form of learning using animation media in class XI TPTU B and the XI TPTU A control class was not applied special treatment, namely with media images. After giving treatment, then the experimental class was given an assessment questionnaire on the application of the media and the two samples were given a post-test using a question that had an indicator similar to the pre-test that had been modified. The results of the study for the percentage of the total response value of students was 71.95% which was included in the interesting category. The categories are interpreted towards the results of the application of animation media, namely decent and attractive animation media to be used in the learning process in the material determining the characteristics of the refrigerant air system. The learning outcomes of students using animation media have a group achievement index higher than 45.94% than using media images in the control class. Based on these assessments, the animation media applied to the experimental class is easier and better in the results of the student learning process than the image media in the control class especially in the material determining the characteristics of the refrigerant air system.
