Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan bermain dalam pembelajaran softball dalam upaya mengatasi permasalahan tersebut peneliti menerapkan salah satu strategi pembelajaran yaitu Lead – Up Games Softball yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan bermain softball kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri Cikadu Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Objek dalam penelitian ini yaitu Sekolah Dasar Negeri Cikadu Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 siswa. Hasil observasi menunjukan tingkat keterampilan bermain siswa masih sangat rendah yaitu (33,33%) adapaun hasil penelitian pada siklus I tindakan 1 menunjukkan keterampilan bermain siswa mencapai hasil (43,33%), siklus I tindakan 2 menunjukkan keterampilan bermain siswa mencapai hasil (53,33%). Pada siklus II tindakan 1 menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan bermain meningkat hingga mencapai (70,00%), siklus II tindakan mencapai (80,00%) dan siklus III tindakan mengalami peningkatan mencapai (86,67%). Dari data hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa mengalami peningkatan presentase setiap siklus dan tindakannya sehingga dengan Penerapan Lead – Up Games Softball dapat meningkatkan keterampilan bermain siswa. The background of this research was low-level of students’ play skills in learning softball, and to resolve this problem, researchers applied one of learning strategy which named Lead – Up Softball Games. The purpose of this research was to know the improvement of the 5th grade students’ play skills at SDN Cikadu, West Bandung Regency. Classroom Action Research was used as method. The object of this research was SDN Cikadu, West Bandung Regency. 30 students were participated as the subject. The result of the research has shown the level of students’ play skills was very low which was (33,33%), as for the results in cycle I of action 1 students’ play skills reached (43,33%), and in cycle I of action 2 students' play skills reached (53,33%). In cycle II of action 1, students’ skills improved to (70,00%), in cycle II the action achieved (80,00%) and in cycle III the action ended up at (86,67%). The previous data concluded that the percentages have improved each cycle and action so the application of Lead – Up Games Softball could improved students’ play skills.
