Abstract
Aktivitas ziarah Makam Sunan Gunung Jati adalah tradisi yang berkembang di masyarakat sebagai bentuk kebiasaan dan kepercayaan turun temurun yang sudah menyatu dengan sistem tradisi. Tujuan penelitian yaitu memperoleh gambaran mengenai interaksi, motivasi serta harapan peziarah muslim di Makam Sunan Gunung Jati Cirebon. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan analisis data diketahui bahwa 1) di Makam Sunan Gunung Jati terdapat perilaku perorangan dalam proses berziarah. Selanjutnya interaksi sesama peziarah muslim itu sendiri, interaksi peziarah muslim terhadap kuncen, dan masyarakat sekitar yang di dalamnya terdapat tindakan sosial dan pertukaran sosial berupa materi maupun non materi di dalamnya; 2) faktor yang memotivasi peziarah muslim untuk berziarah ke Makam Sunan Gunung Jati diantaranya ada faktor internal yang berasal dari dalam diri peziarah muslim itu sendiri, serta faktor eksternal yang berasal dari luar diri peziarah tersebut; 3) harapan peziarah dalam berziarah ke Makam Sunan Gunung Jati Cirebon yakni peziarah berharap semua doa dan hajatnya dapat terkabul oleh Allah SWT, dengan begitu akan mendapatkan keberkahan dan ketenangan dalam hidupnya supaya apa yang diusahakan dapat berjalan dengan lancar. ..... Muslim pilgrims interaction patterns in Sunan Gunung Jati is an activity of Muslim pilgrims during the pilgrimage at the tomb of Sunan Gunung Jati. Activities that pilgrimage is a tradition in the community well into the customs, beliefs hereditary, as well as regulations that have been fused with traditional systems.This research aims to gain an overview of the phenomenon of muslim pilgrims interaction patterns, motivations and expectations of muslim pilgrims in Sunan Gunung Jati Cirebon. This study used a qualitative approach and phenomenological study method, because this study intends to interpret social actions Muslim pilgrims in Sunan Gunung Jati Cirebon. Research results revealed that 1) at the tomb of Sunan Gunung Jati there are individual behavior in the process of pilgrimage, the behavior of this individual is the pilgrimage procession was carried out by muslim pilgrims.Then the interactions among Muslim pilgrims itself, there are two types namely interaction with fellow Muslim pilgrims Muslim pilgrims who came from the group that was so intense and interaction with fellow Muslim pilgrims from outside the group, came less intense. After that, the interaction of Muslim pilgrims to kuncen, and the surrounding community in which there is social action and social exchange in the form of material and non material in it; 2) Factors that motivate Muslim pilgrims to make pilgrimages to the Tomb of Sunan Gunung Jati which there are internal factors that come from within Muslim pilgrims themselves, as well as external factors that come from outside the pilgrim; 3) Hope pilgrims on pilgrimage to the tomb of Sunan Gunung Jati Cirebon which pilgrims wish all the prayers and desires can be fulfilled by Allah, so will get the blessing and peace in his life so that what is sought to run smoothly.
