Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan buku pengayaan literasi sains pada konteks kebumian yang layak dan sesuai untuk siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Pengembangan buku pengayaan literasi sains menggunakan metode Plomp yang terdiri atas analisis masalah, desain dan pengembangan prototype, evaluasi, dan revisi. Dalam proses pengembangan buku digunakan instrumen berupa daftar indikator yang merupakan kombinasi dari materi dan kompetensi yang dikembangkan. Materi yang dikembangkan meliputi Atmosfer, Hidrosfer dan Litosfer yang didalamnya termasuk pembahasan mengenai pencemaran lingkungan, pemanasan global, siklus air, gempa bumi, tsunami, gunung api maupun tanah. Kompetensi yang dikembangkan meliputi kompetensi menjelaskan fenomena secara ilmiah, menginterpretasi data dan bukti ilmiah, serta mengevaluasi dan mendesain penyelidikan. Dalam proses evaluasi instrument yang digunakan adalah angket, instrument uji keterbacaan dan tes literasi sains. Partisipan yang berpartisipasi berjumlah 30 siswa kelas 7 dari salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Cilacap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku pengayaan literasi sains yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dengan persentase kelayakan sebesar 79,2%. Tingkat keterbacaan teks pada buku pengayaan mencapai 56,0% ketika digunakan oleh siswa kelas 7. Hal tersebut dikarenakan level pembaca yang sesuai untuk teks pada buku berdasarkan Grafik Raygor adalah kelas 8. Hasil evaluasi tes literasi sains menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi mengevaluasi dan mendesain penyelidikan memiliki ketercapaian yang tertinggi yaitu sebesar 91,0%, lalu berturut-turut kompetensi menjelasakan fenomena secara ilmiah serta menginterpretasi data dan bukti ilmiah memiliki persentase ketercapaian sebesar 62,0% dan 53,0%.----- The purpose of this study is to produce a book on enriching scientific literacy in Earth Science context that is feasible and appropriate for junior high school students. The development of science literacy enrichment books uses the Plomp method which consists of problem analysis, prototype design and development, evaluation, and revision. In the process of developing the book an instrument is used in the form of a list of indicators which are a combination of material and competencies developed. The material developed includes Atmosphere, Hydrosphere and Lithosphere which includes discussions on environmental pollution, global warming, the water cycle, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes and soil. Competencies developed include the competence to explain phenomena scientifically, interpret scientific data and evidence, and evaluate and design investigations. In the evaluation process the instruments used were questionnaires, readability test instruments and scientific literacy tests. The participating participants numbered 30 of grade 7 students from one of the junior high schools in Cilacap District. The results of the study showed that the developed scientific literacy enrichment book was feasible to use with a percentage of eligibility of 79,2%. The level of readability of text in enrichment books reaches 56.0% when used by 7th grade students. It caused by the appropriate level of reading for text on books based on Raygor Charts is grade 8. The results of evaluating scientific literacy tests show that competence evaluating and designing investigations has the highest achievement 91,0%, then competencies explain the phenomena scientifically and interpret the data and scientific evidence to have an achievement percentage of 62,0% and 53,0% in series.
