Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran langsung pada peserta didik tunagrahita sedang di SLB Purnama Asih Bandung. Lembaga pendidikan berkewajiban memberikan pembelajaran keterampilan dalam kaitan aktivitas kehidupan sehari - hari yang berorientasikan pada keterampilan merawat diri yaitu pada kegiatan menggunakan toilet. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan tes kinerja. Di sekolah, pembelajaran ini dilakukan dua kali pertemuan seminggu. Masalah yang ditemukan adalah kurang efektifnya cara atau metode yang di gunakan guru dalam mengajarkan keterampilan aktivitas kehidupan sehari – hari sehingga mengakibatkan kesulitan bagi peserta didik tunagrahita untuk memperagakan aktivitas merawat diri yang diajarkan tersebut. Alasan dilakukan penelitian ini yaitu karena masih terdapat peserta didik yang belum bisa melakukan kegiatan penggunaan toilet secara mandiri sehingga diperlukan suatu latihan dengan menggunakan model atau metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik tunagrahita. Metode penelitian yang digunakan eksperimen dengan Single Subject Research (SSR) menggunakan desain A-B-A. Temuan penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran langsung memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan toilet training pada satu orang peserta didik tunagrahita di kelas V SDLB Purnama Asih Bandung, pengaruh positif tersebut terlihat dari meningkatnya mean level dari fase baseline-1 (A1) yaitu 42,5%, ke fase intervensi (B) yaitu 70%, hingga fase baseline-2 (A2) 88,75%. Disarankan kepada guru bahwa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan toilet training dapat menerapkan model pembelajaran langsung.;---This study aims to apply the model of learning directly to the students children with mentally disabled being in SLB Purnama Asih Bandung. Educational institutions are obliged to provide skills learning in terms of daily life activities that are oriented to self-care skills that is in the activity of using the toilet. Data collection conducted in this research is through observation and performance test. At school, this learning is done twice weekly. The problem found is the ineffective way or method used by the teacher in teaching daily life activity skills for the child's with mentally disabled thus causing difficulties for the learners of students children with mentally disabled to demonstrate the activity of self-taught and the limited ability of learners in obtaining skill learning. The reason for this research is because there are still students who have not been able to perform activities of toilet use independently so that required an exercise by using the model or learning method in accordance with the needs of learners students children with mentally disabled who are in SLB Purnama Asih Bandung. The research method used is experiment with Single Subject Research (SSR) using A-B-A design. The research findings show that the application of direct learning model has an effect on the improvement of toilet training capability in one of the students of children with mentally disabled in class V SDLB Purnama Asih Bandung, he positive influence is seen from the increase of the mean level from the baseline-1 phase (A1) that is 42.5%, to the intervention phase (B) ie 70%, to the baseline-2 (A2) 88.75%. It is suggested to the teacher that to improve the ability of toilet training can apply direct learning model.
