Abstract
Isu pendidikan guru menjadi sebuah masalah. Reformasi guru perlu dilakukan melalui sistem dan budaya. Guru adalah tenaga kependidikan dan menjadi model yang ditiru oleh siswa termasuk bagaimana upaya guru dalam pendidikan. Guru harus menjadi teladan dalam setiap aspek yang melekat padanya termasuk kesadarannya akan arti pendidikan dan profesionalisme. Guru harus diberi kesempatan dan memiliki kesadaran untuk meningkatkan profesionalitas mereka melalui pendidikan tinggi. Kebijakan pemerintah harus mendorong dan memberikan kesempatan biaya dan dukungan kepada guru untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) pengaruh kepemimpinan utama terhadap profesionalitas guru, (2) pengaruh iklim sekolah terhadap profesionalitas guru, dan (3) Pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan iklim sekolah terhadap profesionalitas guru Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru SMA/sedderajat di Kotabaru dan Cikampek kabuparen Karawang. Teknik sampling digunakan untuk menentukan sampel. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (a) kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memberikan dampak positif terhadap profesionalitas guru sebesar 49,5%. (B) iklim sekolah berpengaruh positif terhadap profesionalitas guru sebesar 43,7%. (C) Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan iklim sekolah berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap profesionalitas guru sebesar 57,9%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ketiga variabel berada pada tingkat kurang. Kesimpulannya, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang baik dan iklim sekolah yang positif akan meningkatkan profesionalitas guru.----------The issue of educational teacher become a problem. Teacher reform needs to be done through system and cultural. Teachers are educational personnel and become models imitated by students including how the teacher's efforts in education. Teacher should be an example in every aspect attached to her including her awareness of the meaning of education and professionalism. Teachers should be given the opportunity and have the awareness to improve their professionality through higher education. Government policy should encourage and provide cost opportunities and support to teachers to improve their professionalism. This research aims to analyze: (1) the influence of principal leadership towards teacher professionality, (2) the influence school climate towards teacher professionality, and (3) the influence of principal leadership and school climate toward teacher professionality The population of this research is all teacher of high school in Kotabaru and Cikampek distric Karawang. Saturation sampling technique was used to determine the sample. Data analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that: (a) Principals leadership gave positive impact to the teacher professionality on 49.5% . (b) school climate had positive influences toward teacher professionality by 43.7%. (c) Both principal leadership and school climate significantly influenced teacher professionality by 57.9%. Base on the research, these three variables are on the low level. In conclussion, principal with good his/her leadership and the positive school climate will improve teacher professionality.
