Abstract
Penelitian mengenai analisis kekeliruan ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kekeliruan yang dilakukan oleh siswa kelas IX dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal topik luas permukaan dan volume pada prisma serta limas dan faktor penyebabnya. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu menyajikan hasil penelitian dalam bentuk narasi. Desain penelitian berupa survei karena pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan wawancaraa. Tahap penelitian melalui perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penyajian data. Langkah yang dilakukan antara lain koordinasi dengan pihak sekolah, penyusunan instrumen penelitian, pelaksanaan penelitian, serta analisis data. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 40 Bandung. Pelaksanaan tes dan wawancara dilakukan kepada 29 siswa kelas IX. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kekeliruan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal ternyata beragam. Kekeliruan siswa dalam topik luas permukaan dan volume prisma serta limas diantaranya adalah siswa kurang memahami soal cerita yang berkaitan dengan topik luas permukaan dan volume prisma serta limas, kurang terampil dalam menggunakan rumus luas permukaan dan volume prisma serta limas, tidak memahami gambar yang berkaitan dengan prisma serta limas, dan melakukan kekeliruan dalam perhitungan. Adapun faktor penyebab dari kekeliruan yang terjadi yaitu kesulitan siswa dalam membaca informasi, kecerobohan, kekeliruan memahami soal, tergesa-gesa dalam menjawab soal, kurangnya usaha yang dilakukan beberapa siswa dalam mengerjakan soal dan pemahaman konsep yang tidak lengkap dan mendapatkan jawaban dari hasil perkerjaan orang lain. Kata Kunci: Error Analysis, Luas Permukaan dan Volume pada Prisma serta Limas, Miskonsepsi, The research about Error Analysis on the IX grade in Junior High School in globally would be analyse about IX grade student’s mistakes on doing exercise about surface area and volume of prism and pyramid. The ain of this research is to describe mistakes that occured by the students in exercise and the caused of it. The research held in 40 Bandung Junior High School. The output of these Qualitative-Descriptive Research is narative text which telling any process about how the students answer the questions in test. The research steps in planning, doing, and evaluating by coordination, organizing the research instrument, and data analysis. The test well passed by 29 students. In conclusion, this research shows that common mistakes of the students are variative. Student errors in surface topics and the volume of prisms and pyramids are among the students who have little understanding of stories relating to the topic of surface area and volume of prisms and pyramids, are less skilled in using surface and volume formulas of prisms and pyramids, do not understand images related to prism and pyramids, and make mistakes in calculations.The causal factors of the mistakes that occur are the difficulties of students in reading information, carelessness, mistakes understand the problem, in a hurry to answer the problem, the lack of effort made by some students in working on problems and understanding the concept of incomplete and get answers from the work of others, Keywords : Error Analysis, Surface area and volume of prism and pyramid, Misconception,
