Abstract
Tujuan penelitian untuk menghasilkan gambaran empati siswa berdasarkan komponen kognitif dan komponen afektif sebagai dasar mengembangkan program Bimbingan dan Konseling. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 12 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gambaran empati siswa berada pada kategori sedang dan komponen afektif yang lebih mempengaruhi siswa dalam berempati daripada komponen kognitif. Rekomendasi penelitian ditujukan kepada guru bimbingan dan konseling dan peneliti selanjutnya. ; The purpose of this research is to produce empathy of students based on cognitive and affective components as the basic for developing a program of Guidance and Counseling. The research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive method. The population participated on this research is student of SMK 12 Bandung class XI academic year 2015/2016. The results showed the depiction of empathy of students in middle category and affective components that affect the empathy of students more than the cognitive component, research recommendations addressed to the school counselor and further research.
