Abstract
Berkembangnya Kabupaten Bekasi sebagai pusat pertumbuhan industri otomotif nasional dimasa depan, harus didukung dengan ketersediaan tenaga kerja ahli dibidang industri otomotif, salah satunya adalah teknisi dibidang maintenance kategori middle quality. Penelitian ini bertujuan agar teranalisisnya dan terdeskripsikannya prakiraan kebutuhan teknisi dibidang maintenance kategori middle quality pada sub sektor industri perakitan kendaraan roda empat, yang disertai dengan analisis kebutuhan SMK teknik pemeliharaan mekanik industri sebagai supply teknisi dibidang maintenance kategori middle quality untuk target tahun 2019. Penelitian ini sangat penting dilakukan, sebagai antisipasi terhadap akselerasi kebutuhan teknisi dibidang maintenance kategori middle quality sebagai dampak dari berkembangnya industri otomotif dimasa depan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan dua metode berbeda untuk meramalkan demand teknisi dibidang maintenance kategori middle quality secara presisi baik dari segi kuantitatif maupun kualitatif. Manpower basic projection digunakan untuk meramalkan demand teknisi dibidang maintenance kategori middle quality dari segi aspek kuantitatif. Sedangkan untuk aspek kualitatif menggunakan teknik kelompok kecil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan akselerasi volume industri perakitan kendaraan roda empat di Kabupaten Bekasi pada tahun 2019 berada pada angka 390.057 unit/tahun dan membutuhkan sekurangnya 186 teknisi dibidang maintenance kategori middle quality. Kebutuhan 186 teknisi dibidang maintenance kategori middle quality dapat dipenuhi dari 5 SMK yang tersedia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditahun 2019, Kabupaten Bekasi memiliki over supply sebesar 1.026 teknisi dibidang maintenance kategori middle quality yang merupakan output dari SMK. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat dan SMK untuk memprioritaskan pada upaya peningkatan kualitas output SMK Teknik Pemeliharaan Mekanik Industri dengan strategi membekali peserta didik kompetensi keahlian dibidang otomasi industri, menyediakan guru produktif, peralatan praktikum, bengkel, teaching factory, dan Lembaga Sertifikat Profesi (LSP) untuk program keahlian Teknik Pemeliharaan Mekanik Industri.;---The development of Bekasi regency as the center of the national automotive industry growth in the future, should be supported by the availability of skilled manpower in the field of automotive industry, one of which is a field maintenance technician middle category of quality. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach using two different methods to forecast demand in the field of maintenance technicians middle category of quality in terms of both quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that in the year 2019, the Bekasi Regency has over supply of 1.026 field maintenance technicians middle category of quality. Recommendations from this study are expected Education Department of West Java province and technical high priority on improving the quality of output Vocational Mechanical Maintenance Mechanical Industries with a strategy to equip students competency expertise in the field of industrial automation, providing teachers productive, equipment lab, workshop, teaching factory, and the Institute Certificate Professionals for Mechanical Maintenance Mechanical Industries.
