Abstract
Kota Pekanbaru memiliki daya tarik sebagai kota wisata. Beberapa tahun terakhir Kota Pekanbaru sering digunakan dalam kegiatan-kegiatan nasional seperti penyelenggaraan PON, MTQ, konvensi nasional dan musyawarah nasional, namun jumlah kunjungan wisatawan fuktuatif bahkan mengalami penurunan sebesar 3% pada tahun 2015. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui potensi Urban Tourism di Kota Pekanbaru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel penelitian yaitu wisatawan berjumlah 150 responden. Teknik analisis menggunakan Scorring untuk mengukur potensi Urban Tourism. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik wisatawan di Kota Pekanbaru mayoritas masih berusia produktif, pendidikan akhir perguruan tinggi, memiliki pekerjaan sebagai pelajar dan mahasiswa. Tujuan wisatawan Kota Pekanbaru yaitu untuk menambah wawasan dan berekreasi. Kota Pekanbaru memiliki potensi Urban Tourism dengan atraksi wisata sejarah, wisata budaya, dan hiburan. Kemenarikan Urban Tourism di Kota Pekanbaru dikategorikan menarik dengan fasilitas yang kuat, namun terdapat kekurangan pada aspek aksesibilitas.Saran terhadap karakteristik wisatawan yaitu peningkatan keragaman aktivitas, aksesibilitas antarobjek wisata dan akomodasi. ;--- Pekanbaru has appeal as a tourist town. The last few years the city of Pekanbaru often used in national activities such as PON, MTQ, national conventions and national consensus, but the number of tourists visiting fuktuatif even decreased by 3% in 2015. Based on this background, the purpose of the study to determine the potential of Urban Tourism in the city of Pekanbaru. The method used quantitative descriptive. Samples of research that rating amounted to 150 respondents. The analysis technique used to measure the potential Scorring Urban Tourism. The findings show that the characteristics of tourists in the city of Pekanbaru majority of childbearing age, the end of a college education, has a job as a student and the student. Pekanbaru City tourist destination that is to add insight and recreation. Pekanbaru City Urban Tourism has the potential to historical tourist attractions, cultural attractions, and entertainment. The attractiveness of the Urban Tourism in the city of Pekanbaru categorized attractive with strong facility, but there are shortcomings in aksesibilitas.Saran aspects of the characteristics of travelers is increasing the diversity of activities, accessibility between attraction and accommodation.
