Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan materi hidrokarbon dan minyak bumi dalam buku teks yang digunakan di sebagian besar SMA/MA di Kota Bandung berdasarkan kriteria tahap seleksi dari 4S TMD. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian evaluatif dengan metode analisis konten. Terdapat tiga kriteria tahap seleksi dari 4S TMD. Berdasarkan kriteria pertama, yaitu kesesuaian dengan tuntutan kurikulum, diketahui bahwa objek penelitian belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2013. Ditinjau dari keluasan materi, terdapat empat konsep tuntutan kurikulum yang tidak dimuat oleh materi sehingga materi kurang luas dan terdapat enam konsep yang tidak dituntut oleh kurikulum, tetapi dimuat oleh materi sehingga materi terlalu luas. Dengan demikian, secara umum keluasan materi belum sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2013. Ditinjau dari kedalaman konsep, dari 31 konsep tuntutan kurikulum, 16 konsep dinyatakan kurang dalam dan tiga konsep dinyatakan terlalu dalam. Berdasarkan kriteria kedua, yaitu kebenaran konsep, diketahui bahwa terdapat dua konsep yang belum benar secara keilmuan menurut referensi buku-buku teks kimia umum internasional dan buku-buku terbitan IUPAC. Berdasarkan kriteria ketiga, yaitu penanaman nilai, diketahui bahwa nilai-nilai yang ditanamkan pada materi ialah religius, kreatif, rasa ingin tahu, menghargai prestasi, tanggung jawab, gemar membaca, disiplin, dan peduli lingkungan. ;---This study was conducted to determine properness of hydrocarbons and petroleum material in textbook which is used in most SMA/MA in Kota Bandung based on criteria of selection process of 4S TMD. The type of research is evaluative research by content analysis method. There are three criteria in the selection process of 4S TMD. Based on first criterion, that is conformity with the demands of curriculum, it is known that object of research is not yet fully in accordance with the demands of the Kurikulum 2013. In terms of material broadness, there are four concepts required by the curriculum that are not included in the material, so that the material is less broad. In addition, there are six concepts that are not required by the curriculum, but included in the material, so that the material is too broad. Thus, in general, the material broadness is not in accordance with the demands of the Kurikulum 2013. Meanwhile, in terms of concepts depth, from 31 concepts demanded by the curriculum, 18 concepts are less deep and three concepts are too deep. Based on second criterion, that is concepts validity, it is known that two concepts invalid scientifically according to international general chemistry textbooks and IUPAC books. Based on third criterion, that is inculcation of values, it is known that values inculcated in the material are religious, creative, curious, achievement appreciative, responsible, reading-interested, disciplined, and careful for the environment.
