Abstract
Permasalahan penelitian ini adalah belum optimalnya mutu madrasah aliyah swasta di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi kemampuan manajerial kepala madrasah dan kinerja mengajar guru terhadap mutu Madrasah Aliyah swasta. Kemudian hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kemampuan manajerial kepala madrasah, kinerja mengajar guru dan, mutu madrasah aliyah swasta di Kabupaten Bandung Barat, serta menganalisis seberapa besar kontribusi kemampuan manajerial kepala madrasah dan kinerja mengajar guru terhadap mutu madrasah aliyahswasta di Kabupaten Bandung Barat, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Populasi adalah seluruh madrasah aliyah swasta di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Jumlahsampelsebanyak 38 madrasah yang diambil berdasarkan purposive stratified random sampling dari seluruh madrasah aliyah swasta yang dijadikan sampel di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Penjaringan data menggunakan kuesioner dan di analisis melalui korelasi dan regresi. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan dan analisis data, ditemukan bahwa kemampuan manajerial kepala madrasah, kinerja mengajar guru, dan mutu madrasah aliyah swasta di Kabupaten Bandung Barat berada pada katagori tinggi. Kemampuan manajerial kepala madrasah berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap mutu madrasah dan berada pada katagori kuat, kinerja mengajar guru berkontribusi secara signfikan terhadap mutu madrasah dan berada pada katagori cukup kuat, dan secara bersama-samakemampuanmanajerialkepala madrasah dankinerjamengajar guruberkontribusisecarasignifikanterhadapmutu madrasahdanberada pada katagori kuat. Rekomendasi yang disarankan untuk mengoptimalkan mutu sekolah adalah sebagai berikut:(1) adanya komitmen bersama dari semua pihak untuk meningkatkan dan menjaga mutu proses yang hendak dicapai, (2) motivasi yang tinggi dari seluruh warga madrasah untuk mencapai mutu yang diharapkan, (3) meningkatkan kompetensi, baik kepala madrasah, guru dan seluruh warga madrasah. ;---The problem of this research is quality of private Madrasah Aliyah in West Bandung District. This research aimed to determine the contribution of principals managerial skill and teaching performance of teachersto quality private Madrasah Aliyah. The results of research describes the principals managerial skill, teaching performance of teachers and, quality of private Madrasah Aliyah in West Bandung District, as well as analyzing the contribution of principals managerial skill and the teaching performance of teachers to the quality of private Madrasah Aliyah in West Bandung District, either partially or simultaneously. This research used quantitative approach with survey method. Population in this research is all private Madrasah Aliyah in West Bandung District. The sample was using stratified random sampling with the sample of 38 private Madrasah Aliyah. Crawl data using questionnaires and analyzed through correlation and regression. Based on data processing and analysis, it was found that the principal managerial skill, teaching performance of teachers, and quality of private Madrasah Aliyah in West Bandung district are high category. The principal managerial skill contribute significantly to quality of Madrasah and the category arestrong, teaching performance of teachers contribute significantly to the quality of madrasah and the category are fairly strong. The principal managerial skill and the teaching performance of teachers contribute significantly to the quality of madrasah and the categoryare strong. From these research suggested that quality of schools can be optimize as follows : (1) the commitment of all parties to improve and maintain the quality of the process to be achieved, (2) a high motivation of all parties to achieved the expected quality, (3) increase competence of principals, teachers and all parties of madrasah.
