Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan menguji efektivitas teknik expressive writing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengelolaan emosi yang dilakukan kepada siswa kelas XI SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung (N = 4, laki-laki). Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian single subject model A/B. Instrumen yang digunakan mengacu pada indikator pengelolaan emosi Salovey & Mayer. Analisis perhitungan data menggunakan statistika deskriptif untuk melihat kenaikan skor pengelolaan emosi dan analisis baseline A dan B. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik expressive writing efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengelolaan emosi. This research purpose to examined effectiveness of expressive writing technique to increasing managing emotion ability to SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung student (N = 4 male). This research used quantitative approach with single subject research A/B design. Managing emotion in this context was measured by instrument based Salovey & Mayer’s emotional management ability indicator. This study used descriptive statistical for analyed gain ability managing emotion score and analyzed baseline A and B. Result showed that expressive writing technique was effective for increase managing emtion ability.
