Abstract
Skripsi ini berjudul “TARI NGANTAT DENDAN DI LUBUKLINGGAU SUMATERA SELATAN”. Tarian ini merupakan jenis tari berkelompok yang bergenre Tari kreasi dengan narasumber Sabda Pria Jaya di kota Lubuklinggau Sumatera Selatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran secara umum menyeluruh tentang tari Ngantat Dendan. Gambaran tersebut didapatkan melalui analisis tentang latar belakang proses penciptaan, struktur penyajiannya. Menggunakan metode deskriftif analisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data melalui reduksi data yaitu memilah data yang telah peneliti dapatkan, kemudian data hasil penelitian akan berbentuk uraian, tabel, bagan, bahkan gambar atau foto, selanjutnya kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa proses penciptaanya melalui empat tahapan yaitu melalui proses eksplorasi, improvisasi, evaluasi atau inkubasi, dan hasil akhir atau komposisi tari. Struktur gerak yang terdiri dari 13 ragam gerak yaitu; Gerak cicing, Ungkel Ngantat Dendan, Melenggang, Angkat, puter jeras, Igal, Mendak Ngantat Dendan, Gerak siwa I, Gerak ngantat dendan, Gerak lenggang jumput, Gerak Siwa I, Cicing Pamit, Gerak Sembah, dan Gerak Guntam Ngantat Dendan. Musik pengiring beriramakan batanghari sembilan yang disertai lantunan pantun berisikan kegembiraan ditambah alat musik keromong 12, djimbe, accordion, dan gitar kopong. Rias penari yang melestarikan warna yang minimalis, elegant, dan tetap anggun, Kostum menggunakan baju kurung panjang sebagai atasan dan kain bermotifkan songket sebagai bawahanya sedangkan selendang yang senada dengan motif bawahan ditudungkan dikepala, sering disebut dengan Suaso, dan properti yang digunakan saat menari adalah Jeras.; This undergraduate thesis entitled “TARI NGANTAT DENDAN DI LUBUKLINGGAU SUMATERA SELATAN”. This dance is a type of group dances that is categorized as Tari kreasi based on the sources from Sabda Pria Jaya in Lubuklinggau, Sumatera Selatan. The purpose of this study is to obtain the general descriptions of Ngantat Dendan dance. The descriptions are obtained by analyzing the background of creation process, and the structure of presentation. This study uses descriptive analysis method with qualitative approaches. The data are collected by using observation, interview, study documentation, and literature review. The data are analyzed through data reduction, which is choosing the data that have been obtained previously, next the data research will be formed into descriptions, tables, charts, even images or photos, and the data are concluded. According to the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the creation process of this dance consists of four stages; namely the exploration process, the improvisation process, the evaluation or incubation process, and the final results or dance composition. The structure of motions of this dance consists of 13 ranges of motions, namely; Gerak cicing, Ungkel Ngantat Dendan, Melenggang, Angkat, puter jeras, Igal, Mendak Ngantat Dendan, Gerak siwa I, Gerak ngantat dendan, Gerak lenggang jumput, Gerak Siwa I, Cicing Pamit, Gerak Sembah, and Gerak Guntam Ngantat Dendan. The musical accompaniment that is used in this dance is “Batanghari Sembilan”, which is accompanied by the chant of poem contained the excitement, and also the additional instruments that are used like keromong 12, djembe, accordion and acoustic guitar. The make-up dancers still conserve the elegant and graceful minimalist color. As the custom, the dancers wear long gown as the top, and songket-patterned fabrics as the bottom, whereas shawls that has same pattern as the bottom are used as a veil, which is often called as Suaso, and the property that is used while dancing is Jeras.
