Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Pemberian Insentif terhadap Motivasi Kerja Guru Pada Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Swasta Di Kecamatan Cimahi Utara”. Masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini yaitu masih rendahnya Motivasi Kerja Guru di lingkungan Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Swasta di Kecamatan Cimahi Utara. Hal ini dilihat dari motivasi kerja guru yang cenderung rendah setelah pemberian imbalan atau insentif, selain itu terlihat dari sikap guru terhadap pekerjaannya seperti terlambat mengumpulkan RPP, terdapat keluhan guru mengenai keadaan siswa, serta kurang memberikan usaha optimal dalam bekerja. Hal ini diduga disebabkan oleh pemberian insentif yang kurang efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memperoleh data secara jelas dan aktual tentang bagaimana gambaran pengaruh pemberian insentif terhadap motivasi kerja guru pada Sekolah SMP Swasta di Kecamatan Cimahi Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kuantitatif serta ditunjang dengan studi kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui angket tertutup dengan 5 skala penilaian (likert). Populasi yang dijadikan sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah guru-guru pada SMP Swasta di Kecamatan Cimahi Utara yang berstatus Guru Tidak Tetap (GTT) maupun Guru Tetap Yayasan (GTY) yang berjumlah 136 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling yang berjumlah 58 orang. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data yang dihitung dengan menggunakan teknik WMS (Weight Means Scored) menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kecenderungan umum untuk variabel X (Pemberian Insentif) sebesar 3,96 berada dalam kategori baik dan rata-rata kecenderungan umum untuk variabel Y (Motivasi Kerja Guru) sebesar 4,27 berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian normalitas distribusi data, diketahui bahwa Variabel X dan Variabel Y berdistribusi normal. Dilihat dari perhitungan koefisien korelasi (rhitung) dengan menggunakan rumus Pearson Correlation Product Moment diperoleh koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,604 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat yang kuat antara variabel X dan variabel Y, serta nilai uji signifikansi sebesar 5,675 terbukti signifikan karena thitung (5,675) > ttabel (1,673). Besarnya pengaruh variabel X terhadap variabel Y ditunjukkan dari hasil perolehan analisis koefisien determinasi (KD) sebesar 36,48%, hal ini menggambarkan bahwa pengaruh Pemberian Insentif terhadap Motivasi Kerja Guru adalah sebesar 36,48% dan sisanya sebesar 63,52% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain seperti faktor internal diantaranya kepuasan kerja, prestasai dan lain sebagainya dan faktor eksternal diantaranaya jenis serta sifat pekerjaan, situasi lingkungan kerja dan lain sebagainya. Adapun persamaan regresi Y atas X adalah artinya setiap perubahan satu unit pada variabel X akan memberikan perubahan pada variabel Y sebesar 0,604 satuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara pemberian insentif terhadap Motivasi Kerja Guru Pada SMP Swasta Se-Kecamatan Cimahi Utara. Kata Kunci: Pemberian Insentif, Motivasi Kerja Guru. This study entitled “The Effect of Incentives towards Action Motivation of Teacher to Private Junior High School in North District Cimahi”. The problem raised in this study is the low action motivation of teacher in Private Junior High School in North District Cimahi. This can be seen from the action motivation of teacher which tends to be low after receiving incentives, moreover it is seen from the teacher attitudes towards his/her action, such as overdue in collecting lesson plans, complaining students’ circumstances, and lack of providing optimum effort in action. This is presumably caused by the less effective of the incentives. This study aimed to collect an actual and explicit data of the representation of the effect of incentives towards action motivation of teacher to Private Junior High School in North District Cimahi. This study was conducted by using descriptive method and qualitative approach and also supported by literature studies. The data collection used questionnaires with 5 rating scales (likert). The population of the study was the teachers of all private junior high schools in North District Cimahi, in which, the status of the teachers was temporary teacher (Guru Tidak Tetap) and permanent teacher (Guru Tetap Yayasan). Then the number of the population was 136 teachers. The samples which were amounted to 58 teachers were taken by using simple random sampling technique. Based on the data analysis used WMS (Weight Means Scored) technique showed that the average of the general tendency for Variable X (Incentives) is 3,96 resided in good category, and the average of the general tendency for Variable Y (Action Motivation of Teacher) is 4,27 resided in excellent category. Based on the normality test of data distribution, it was discovered that Variable X and Y are normal distribution. This was shown by the calculation of correlation coefficient (rcalculate) by using Pearson Correlation Product Moment formula, it was derived correlation coefficient of 0,604 which indicated strong correlation coefficient between variable X and Y, and the value of the significance test was 5,675 and it is significant because tcalculate (5,675) > ttable (1,673). The magnitude of variable X effect on variable Y was indicated from the result of determination coefficient analysis of 36,48%. This represents that the Effect of Incentives towards Action Motivation of Teacher is 36, 48% and 63,52% was affected by other factors, such as internal and external factor. The internal factors include job satisfaction, achievements, etc., while the external factors include type and nature of work, situation of work environment, etc. Then regression equation of Y to X is , which means that a change in one unit of variable X will change variable Y amount of 0,604 unit. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is positive and significant effect on incentives towards action motivation of teachers in Private Junior High Schools in North District Cimahi.
