Abstract

Pembelajaran di sekolah, merupakan satu hal yang patut diperhatikan guna menunjang perkembangan belajar siswa. Dalam pembelajaran Seni Budaya di SMP dengan mayoritas siswa dengan rentang usia remaja (12-15 tahun), tentu membutuhkan media belajar yang menarik. Mereka sudah dapat berfikir dan menggunakan daya imajinasinya dengan baik. Dalam hal ini, penulis memilih pembelajaran membatik yang dibuat dalam bentuk komik sebagai media pembelajaran di sekolah. Komik ini bertujuan untuk mempermudah dan memberikan inovasi baru dalam pembelajaran membatik khususnya bagi siswa. Skripsi ini membahas (1) Bagaimana konsep komik sebagai media pembelajaran membatik untuk siswa SMP, (2) Bagaimana proses pembuatan komik sebagai media pembelajaran membatik untuk siswa SMP dan (3) Bagaimana hasil dan analisis pembuatan komik sebagai media pembelajaran membatik untuk siswa SMP. Metode yang dipakai dalam prose pembuatan karya ini adalah pengumpulan ide, analisa kebutuhan, stimulasi, pengolahan ide, persiapan alat dan bahan dilanjutkan dengan proses pembuatan komik dan uji coba. Penulis menggunakan dua teknik berbeda, pada tahap pembuatan sketsa pensil dan garis kontur, penulis menggunakan cara manual. Pada proses pewarnaan dan pemberian teks, penulis menggunakan cara digital. Pada pembuatan isi cerita, penulis membuat ceritanya sendiri berlatar sebuah pedesaan sedangkan untuk gaya gambar, penulis menggunakan gaya gambar semi-realis yang digabungkan dengan gaya manga. Karena sasaran dari komik tersebut adalah siswa SMP, penulis menggunakan sistem pewarnaan blok (blocking) dengan warna cerah, namun di dalam pemilihan warna tersebut penulis juga memaparkan karakter yang terdapat pada setiap warna. Dari hasil uji coba terhadap 30 sampel siswa, penulis melihat komik ini cukup mudah dipahami oleh siswa, sehingga dengan komik media pembelajaran ini siswa lebih tertarik untuk belajar dan dapat menjadi media baru bagi guru. In the Cultural Arts learning in junior high school with a majority of students with adolescent age range (12-15 years), would require attractive learning media. They've been able to think and use his imagination properly. In this case, the authors chose the learning batik made in the form of comics as a medium of learning in school. The comic aims to facilitate and provide new innovations in the learning batik, especially for students. This paper discusses (1) How does the concept of comics as a medium of learning batik for junior high school students, (2) How is the process of making batik comics as a medium of learning for junior high school students and (3) How will the results and analysis of making comics as a medium of learning batik for junior high school students. The method used in the prose of making this work is the collection of ideas, needs analysis, stimulation, treatment of ideas, tools and material preparation continued with the process of making comics and trials. The authors used two different techniques, at the stage of making pencil sketches and contour lines, the authors use the manual method. In the coloring process and the provision of text, the authors use a digital way. In making the contents of the story, the author makes his own story set in a rustic style, while for the picture, the authors use a semi-realistic drawing style combined with the style of manga. Because the goal of the comic is the junior high school students, the authors use coloring system block (blocking) with bright colors, but the colors in the selection of authors also describe the characters contained in each color. From the results of tests on 30 samples of students, the authors look at the comic is pretty easily understood by students, so the students' comic learning media is more interested in learning and new media can be for teachers.
