Abstract

Skripsi ini berjudul “Éféktivitas Média Komik Pikeun Pangajaran Nulis Carita Pondok (Studi Kuasi Ékspérimén ka Siswa Kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan Taun Ajaran 2012/2013)”. Tujuan penelitiannya mendeskripsikan: kemampuan siswa dalam menulis carita pondok sebelum dan setelah menggunakan media komik, tingkat kemampuan menulis carita pondok sebelum dan setelah menggunakan media komik dan éféktivitas média komik dalam pengajaran menulis carita pondok. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi ekperimen, dengan pretes and post test group design, dan tehnik yang digunakan adalah tehnik tes. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan kelas XI IPA 1 yang berjumlah 32 orang. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013, sedangkan yang menjadi sampelnya siswa kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013. Hasilnya yaitu kemampuan menulis carita pondok sebelum menggunakan media komik hasilnya dengan skor rata-rata 67,1 dan kemampuan menulis carita pondok setelah menggunakan media komik hasilnya dengan skor rata-rata 77,4; ada peningkatan antara pretes dan post test hal itu terbukti dari kemampuan sebelum menggunakan media komik siswa yang belum mampu menulis carita pondok ada 40,63% dan yang mampu menulis carita pondok dengan kategori cukup ada 59,37%, sedangkan setelah menggunakan media komik ada 18,75% siswa yang mampu menulis carita pondok dengan kategori baik dan 81,25% siswa yang mampu menulis carita pondok dengan kategori cukup; dan menurut hasil penghitungan uji t, terbukti bahwa titung > ttabel, yaitu 11,57 > 2,46. Artinya hipotesis diterima pada taraf signifikasi 99%. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa media komik efektif untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. This research has the tittle “The Medium Of Comics Effectiveness For Short Story Writing Lesson (Quasi Experimental Study To Student Class XI IPA 1 SMAN 1 KUNINGAN Academic Period 2012/2013). The purpose of this research is to describe the ability of student in short story writing before and after using the medium of comics, a significant difference between the ability to write the short story before and after using the medium of comics and the medium of comics effectiveness in short story writing lesson. The methodology used in this research is a quasi-experimental methods, with pre-test and post test group design, and the techniques used are tests. This research was conducted in SMAN 1 Kuningan at XI IPA 1 class with 32 students. The population in this study was students who studied in XI IPA class SMAN 1 Kuningan Academic Period 2012/2013 and the sample is the students of XI IPA 1. The result is the ability of the students to write short story before using the medium of comics had the average score about 67.1 point, and the ability of the studentd to write short story after using the medium of comics had the average score about 77.4 point. From that point we can compare the result, there was a significant difference between the pre test and post test that proved of ability before using the medium of comics. The students who have not been able to write short story was 40.63% and the students who have been able to write short story with “Enough” category was 59.37% of this class. In the other hand after using the medium of comics there is 18.75% of students have been able to write short story include “Good” category and 81.25% of the students have been able to write short story with “Enough” category. According to the results of t-test calculation proved that t hitung > t table was 11.57 > 2.46, it means that the hypothesis is accepted at the 99% significance level. Based on that results, this study proved that the medium of comics was effective for used in teaching students to write a short story in XI IPA 1 Class SMAN 1 Kuningan Academic Period 2012/2013.
