Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas XI TKR SMKN 8 Bandung pada kompetensi dasar mengidentifikasi sistem starter. Kompetensi yang dicapai oleh siswa masih banyak yang belum memenuhi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yang telah ditentukan oleh sekolah. Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan modul terhadap hasil belajar siswa setelah melakukan proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode quasi experiment dengan desain non equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMKN 8 Bandung paket pilihan teknik kendaraan ringan yang berjumlah 5 kelas dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 361 orang. Sampel penelitian dibagi menjadi dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan bahan ajar modul dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan bahan ajar foto/gambar. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa soal pre test yang dilaksanakan sebelum siswa melaksanakan proses pembelajaran dan post test setelah siswa melaksanakan proses pembelajaran, kedua soal tes tersebut digunakan untuk melihat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil pengolahan, analisis pengujian data diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan bahan ajar modul sebesar 81,73 dan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan bahan ajar foto/gambar sebesar 77,33. Hasil perhitungan persamaan regresi linier X dan Y diperoleh harga koefisien a (konstanta) sebesar 73,20 dan koefisien b (koefisien regresi) sebesar 59,54 sehingga diperoleh persamaan regresi Y ̂= 73,20 + 59,54.X. Pengaruh penggunaan modul terhadap hasil belajar siswa sebesar 88,36%. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan bahan ajar modul berada pada kategori sedang; (2) Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan bahan ajar foto/gambar berada pada kategori sedang; (3) Penggunaan modul memiliki pengaruh tinggi sekali terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: Bahan Ajar Modul, Hasil belajar The study was conducted based on the low learning achievement students of XI lightweight vehicle engineering in Eight Vocational School of Bandung on basic competence of identifying engine starting system. Many of the students did not reach the required achievement criteria or as defined in school policy on this basic competence. The purpose of this study is to knowthe impact of learning modul usage tostudents learning achievement after learning process. This study was conducted on quasi-experiment method with non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study was 361 students of XI Eight Vocational School of Bandung within 5 classes of lightweight vehicle engineering. The students were grouped into two classes as samples; experimental group that use learning modul and control group that usephotos or images on their learning process. The instruments of the study were pre-test (a test before the students do the learning process) and a post-test (a test after the students pass the learning process). Both of the tests were used to show the excalation of students learning achievement. As a result of data analyzing, this study shows that the students achieved 81,73 on average after they used learning modul in learning process, and the another students who used photos or images on their learning process get 77,33 on average. The equation oflinear regression of X and Y shows coeffisient value a (constanta) as 73,20 and coeffisient value (regression) as 59,54 that obtain equation of regressionas Y ̂= 73,20 + 59,54.X. The impact of learning modul to students learning achievement is 88,36%. The conclusion of this study are: (1) The average of students learning achievement after learning modul treatment on students learning process is categorized as medium level; (2) The average of students learning achievement which use photos or images on learning process is categorized as medium level; (3) The usage of learning modul has a high impact to the students learning achievement.
