Abstract

Podcast merupakan salah satu bentuk media populer dalam dunia digital saat ini. Podcast menjadi media komunikasi dalam pelbagai konteks, seperti hiburan, pendidikan, ataupun informasi. Pada konteks ini, tindak tutur dan penggunaan strategi kesantunan memainkan aspek penting dalam interaksi antara narasumber dan pembawa acara. Penelitian ini membahas makna ilokusi, serta penggunaan strategi kesantunan positif dan negatif dalam interaksi pada podcast sebagai suatu strategi komunikasi. Tuturan ilokusi, yaitu tuturan yang mempelajari makna sebenarnya dari suatu penyataan. Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu teori tindak tutur yang dikemukakan oleh Bach dan Harnish (1979) dan teori strategi kesantunan yang dikemukakan oleh Brown dan Levinson (1987). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data pada penelitian in merupakan podcast dengan topik remaja korban perundungan pada sosial media. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tindak tutur pada interaksi tersebut didominasi oleh tindak tutur konstatif. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa korban lebih banyak menyampaikan informasi tentang suatu fakta. Selain itu strategi kesantunan pada podcast tersebut didominasi oleh strategi kesantunan positif. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa narasumber dan pembawa acara menciptakan interaksi tanpa adanya jarak. Makna tuturan ilokusi disampaikan untuk menunjukkan nilai kesantunan dalam Podcast. Penelitian ini dapat membantu para masyarakat dalam menghasilkan konten yang berkualitas, membangun citra positif dan memperhatikan aspek kesantunan, sehingga menghindari ketersinggungan. Podcast are one of the popular forms of media in today's digital world. They serve as a means of communication across various contexts, such as entertainment, education, and information dissemination. In this context, speech acts and the use of politeness strategies play a significant role in the interaction between the podcast hosts and their guests. This study discusses illocutionary meaning, as well as the use of positive and negative politeness strategies in interactions on podcasts as a communication strategy. Illocutionary speech, which is speech that investigates the actual meaning of a statement. The theories employed in this study are the Speech Act Theory proposed by Bach and Harnish h (1979) and the Politeness Strategy Theory put forth by Brown dan Levinson (1978). The research methodology utilized is qualitative descriptive. The data for this study consists of podcasts discussing the topic of teenage victims of cyberbullying on social media. The findings of this research indicate that the speech acts in these interactions are predominantly constative speech acts, suggesting that the victims mainly provide factual information. Furthermore, politeness strategies in the podcast interactions are predominantly positive politeness strategies, indicating that the podcast hosts and guests create interactions that minimize social distance. The illocutionary speech meaning is conveyed to demonstrate politeness values in the podcast. This research can assist the community in producing high�quality content, building a positive image, and paying attention to the aspect of politeness, thereby avoiding offense.
