Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGARUH IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN RADEC TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENGUASAAN KONSEP SISWA DAN EKOLITERASI SISWA (Penelitian Kuasi Eksperimen pada Materi Sumber Energi Kelas IV SD di Kabupaten Bandung) Oleh Ika Rosmiati Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya penguasaan konsep dan ekoliterasi siswa sebagai akibat dari proses pembelajaran yang kurang bermakna. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain and Create) terhadap peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan ekoliterasi peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group desain. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 67 peserta didik kelas IV SD di Kabupaten Bandung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi keterlaksanaan untuk melihat kinerja guru dan aktivitas siswa, tes penguasaan konsep sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran, ekoliterasi aspek kognitif sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran, angket sikap ekoliterasi emosi, spiritual dan tindakan. Perolehan data dianalisis melalui reduksi data, sajian data dan kesimpulan data. Pengolahan data hasil tes penguasaan konsep dan ekoliterasi aspek kognitif dengan uji rerata, sedangkan ekoliterasi aspek emosi, spiritual dan tindakan dengan menggunakan pedoman skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor rata-rata pretest pada kelas eksperimen 43,80, pada kelas kontrol 38,96. Sedangkan skor rata-rata postest pada kelas eksperimen 76,90, pada kelas kontrol sebesar 59,44. Berdasarkan hasil uji indepedet sample tes ada perbedaan rata-rata penguasaan konsep pada kedua kelas secara signifikan dengan hasil 0.019 < 0.05. Temuan penelitin ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) model pembelajaran RADEC dilaksanakan dengan sangat baik pada setiap tahapan pembelajaran; 2) penguasaan konsep siswa meningkat dari sebelum ke sesudah pembelajaran dengan ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan nilai tes; dan 3) ekoliterasi peserta didik meningkat pada aspek kognitif dan ekoliterasi emosi, spiritual dan tindakan dengan kategori baik; 4) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan ekoliterasi peserta didik. Dapat terlihat bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran RADEC yang terlaksana dengan baik dapat memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap penguasaan konsep dan ekoliterasi peserta didik. Kata Kunci : Penguasaan konsep, ekoliterasi, model pembelajaran RADEC ABSTRACK THE EFFECT IMPLEMENTATION OF RADEC MODEL LEARNING ON INCREASING STUDENT CONCEPT MASTERY AND ECOLITERACY (Quasi-Experimental Research on Energy Source Materials for Class IV Elementary Schools in Bandung Regency) By Ika Rosmiati This research is motivated by the low mastery of students' concepts and ecoliteracy as a result of a less meaningful learning process. The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain and Create) learning model on improving students' mastery of concepts and ecoliteracy. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The subjects of this study consisted of 67 fourth grade students in Bandung Regency. Data collection was carried out through implementation observation to see teacher performance and student activity, concept mastery tests before and after learning, cognitive aspects of ecoliteration before and after learning, emotional, spiritual and action ecoliteracy attitude questionnaires. Data acquisition was analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and data conclusion. Processing data on the results of tests of mastery of concepts and cognitive aspects of ecoliteracy with the mean test, while emotional, spiritual and action aspects of ecoliteration using a Likert scale guideline. The results showed that the average pretest score in the experimental class was 43.80, in the control class it was 38.96. While the average posttest score in the experimental class was 76.90, in the control class it was 59.44. Based on the results of the independent sample test, there is a significant difference in the average mastery of concepts in the two classes with a result of 0.019 <0.05. The findings of this study indicate that 1) the RADEC learning model is implemented very well at every stage of learning; 2) students' mastery of concepts increases from before to after learning as indicated by an increase in test scores; and 3) students' ecoliteracy increases in cognitive and emotional, spiritual and action aspects with good categories; 4) there are differences in the increase in students' mastery of concepts and ecoliteracy. It can be seen that the application of the RADEC learning model that is implemented well can have a positive influence on students' mastery of concepts and ecoliteracy.
