Abstract

Remaja tunagrahita memiliki karakteristik kecerdasan di bawah rata-rata, hal ini berdampak di antaranya terhadap pemahaman konsep melindungi diri dari kekerasan seksual. Dengan demikian, dalam pembelajarannya membutuhkan metode yang melibatkan siswi secara langsung dan dikaitkan dengan kehidupan nyata sesuai pengalamannya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode role playing terhadap pemahaman konsep melindungi diri dari kekerasan seksual pada siswi remaja tunagrahita ringan di SLBN A Citeureup. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode eksperimen single subject rearch (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A’. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kinerja. Pada fase baseline-1 dilakukan sebanyak 3 sesi, fase intervensi sebanyak 6 sesi, dan fase baseline-2 sebanyak 3 sesi. Mean level fase baseline-1 (A-1) sebesar 47%, fase intervensi (B) sebesar 71%, dan fase baseline-2 (A-2) sebesar 85%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode role playing berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep melindungi diri dari kekerasan seksual pada siswi remaja tunagrahita ringan. Subjek mengalami peningkatan pada pemahaman konsep melindungi diri dari kekerasan seksual pada tiga aspek yaitu recognize kemampuan mengenali bagian tubuh pribadi, resist kemampuan bertahan dari perlakuan atau tindakan kekerasan seksual dan report kemampuan untuk bersikap terbuka atas tindakan kekerasan seksual yang diterimanya. Direkomendasikan kepada guru bahwa untuk pembelajaran meningkatkan pemahaman konsep melindungi diri dari kekerasan seksual pada siswi tunagrahita remaja adalah menggunakan metode role playing. Adolescents with mild intellectual disabilities exhibit below-average intelligence characteristics, which impact, among other things, their understanding of the concept of protecting themselves from sexual violence. Therefore, in their education, methods are needed that directly involve the female students and are linked to real-life experiences according to their own encounters. Based on this, the researchers were interested in conducting a study aimed at determining the influence of using the role-playing method on enhancing the understanding of the concept of self-protection from sexual violence among female adolescents with mild intellectual disabilities at SLBN A Citeureup. This research employed a quantitative approach and a single-subject experimental research (SSR) method with an A-B-A' design. Data collection was done using performance tests. During baseline-1 phase, a total of 3 sessions were conducted, followed by 6 intervention sessions, and finally, baseline-2 phase consisting of 3 sessions. The mean level of baseline-1 phase (A-1) was 47%, the intervention phase (B) was 71%, and baseline-2 phase (A-2) was 85%. The research results indicated that the role-playing method had an impact on enhancing the understanding of the concept of self-protection from sexual violence among female adolescents with mild intellectual disabilities. The subjects exhibited an improvement in their understanding of the concept in three aspects: recognizing the ability to identify personal body parts, resisting the ability to withstand acts of sexual violence, and reporting the ability to openly address instances of sexual violence they experience. It is recommended for teachers that, for the purpose of enhancing the understanding of the concept of self-protection from sexual violence among female adolescents with intellectual disabilities, the use of the role-playing method is advisable.
