Abstract

Penelitian ini diawali dengan peristiwa yang terjadi di dunia pendidikan yaitu adanya kesulitan membaca dan keterbatasan membaca pada siswa di sekolah dasar. Membaca merupakan kemampuan yang sangat penting dimiliki siswa sekolah dasar. Dari permasalahan tersebut peneliti melakukan penelitian di SD Negeri Batok Bali mengenai layanan bimbingan siswa berkesulitan membaca di kelas II. Layanan bimbingan belajar merupakan proses bantuan yang diberikan kepada siswa agar dapat mengatasi masalah-masalah yang dihadapinya dalam belajar sehingga setelah melalaui proses perubahan belajar mereka dapat mencapai hasil belajar yang optimal. Lokasi penelitian adalah SD Negeri Batok Bali Kota Serang. Objek penelitian ini adalah guru dan kelas dua. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Observasi, Wawancara, dan Dokumentasi. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 35 siswa terdapat 5 orang siswa yang mengalami kesulitan membaca 3 orang siswa laki-laki dan 2 orang siswa perempuan dengan kesulitan yang beragam, diantaranya: siswa kesulitan membaca suku kata, siswa kesulitan mengenali tanda baca, dan kesulitan-kesulitan lainnya. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru dengan memberikan layanan bimbingan belajar membaca secara perorangan baik di sekolah maupun di rumah siswa dengan Home Visit. Dengan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru baik dari dalam diri siswanya maupun dari luar seperi dari orang tua. Saran dari peneliti adalah guru diharapkan lebih menjalin komunikasi yang baik antar guru dan orang tua untuk membantu siswa dalam kesulitan membacanya. Sehingga ketika sudah dapat mencapai tujuan dengan baik kemampuan membaca siswa meningkat dan siswa akan mudah mengikuti pembelajatan di kelas dan tidak tertinggal oleh teman-temannya yang lain. This research begins with events that occur in the world of education, namely the existence of reading difficulties and reading limitations in students in elementary schools. Reading is a very important skill for elementary school students. From these problems, researchers conducted research at SD Negeri Batok Bali regarding guidance services for students with reading difficulties in grade II. The tutoring service is a process of assistance provided to students in order to be able to overcome the problems they face in learning so that after going through the learning change process they can achieve optimal learning results. The research location is Batok Bali State Elementary School, Serang City. The object of this research is the teacher and the second grade. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. The research findings showed that out of 35 students there were 5 students who had difficulty reading 3 male students and 2 female students with various difficulties, including: students had difficulty reading syllables, students had difficulty recognizing punctuation marks, and difficulties other. Efforts made by the teacher by providing individual reading guidance services both at school and at students' homes with Home Visits. With the challenges faced by teachers both from within their students and from outside such as from parents. Suggestions from researchers are that teachers are expected to establish more good communication between teachers and parents to help students with reading difficulties. So that when they are able to achieve their goals well, students' reading ability increases and students will easily follow learning in class and not be left behind by their other friends.
