Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the effect of the Think-Pair-Square strategy on students' collaboration skills and conceptual understanding of the material on the human excretory system. The research design used a one-shot case study with 36 students in class XI MIPA at SMAN 2 Bandung as the subject. The research instrument used to measure collaboration skills is an observation sheet developed from the PARTNERSHIP for 21st Century Skills framework with indicators of working effectively with mutual respect, practicing flexibility and willingness to compromise, and being responsible for working together and appreciating the contributions of each individual. While the instrument to measure students' understanding of concepts is in the form of a multiple choice test totaling 15 questions. The results showed that the results of the one sample t-test for each collaboration skill data and conceptual understanding obtained a significance value of 0,644 and 0,503. Thus, the results of data on students' collaboration skills and conceptual understanding are influenced by the use of the Think-Pair-Square strategy. based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Think-Pair-Square strategy influences collaboration skills and students' understanding of concepts in the material of the human excretory system.
