Abstract
Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan analisis makna interpersonal dalam pidato politik presiden Joko Widodo dalam menanggapi pandemi Covid-19. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengkaji makna interpersonal dalam pidato politik Presiden Joko Widodo dalam konteks pandemi sebagai contoh bagaimana makna interpersonal direalisasikan dalam komunikasi kenegaraan. Penelitian ini mengikuti pola desain analisis wacana yang melibatkan fitur bahasa untuk mengekspresikan makna interpersonal. Analisis fitur wacana merujuk pada konsep makna interpersonal Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) untuk menemukan sistem mood, modalitas, dan kata ganti yang digunakannya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa makna interpersonal pada teks pidato politik yang disampaikan oleh Presiden Joko Widodo dalam menanggapi pandemi Covid-19 menunjukkan didominasi oleh mood yang bersifat deklaratif. Pidato politik yang disampaikan Presiden Joko Widodo berupaya untuk meyakinkan orang lain tentang kapasitas seorang presiden. This study describes the analysis of interpersonal meaning in President Joko Widodo's political speech in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning of interpersonal in President Joko Widodo's political speech in the context of a pandemic as an example of how interpersonal meaning is realized in state communication. This study follows a discourse analysis design pattern that involves language features to express interpersonal meaning. Discourse feature analysis refers to the concept of interpersonal meaning in Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) to find the system of mood, modality, and pronouns it uses. The results of the analysis show that the interpersonal meaning of the text of a political speech delivered by President Joko Widodo in response to the Covid-19 pandemic shows that it is dominated by a declarative mood. The political speech delivered by President Joko Widodo seeks to convince others of the capacity of a president.
