Abstract

Salah satu sektor bisnis yang sedang menjadi primadona pada saat ini adalah industri bisnis ritel (retail). Pada beberapa tahun terakhir ini, sektor bisnis retail mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat, namun ditengah perkembangan tersebut ternyata kinerja beberapa perusahaan ritel (retail) menunjukan indikasi yang kurang baik terutama dalam aspek perolehan laba perusahaan. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang pengaruh rasio profitabilitas dengan menggunakan alat ukur berupa rasio Return On Equity (ROE) dan pengaruhnya terhadap tingkat pengembalian (return) saham pada emiten subsektor retail yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama periode 2006-2010. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif verifikatif dengan melakukan pengamatan terhadap rasio keuangan perusahaan (emiten) retail yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) dan mempublikasikan laporan keuangan tahunan selama 5 tahun terakhir. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan publikasi tahunan yang diperoleh melalui Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) dan IDX Statistic tahun 2006-2010. Berdasarkan perhitungan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana, korelasi product moment (Pearson Correlation) dan pengujian t statistic diperoleh hasil bahwa Profitabilitas memiliki pengaruh terhadap return saham, selain itu diperoleh hasil Koefisien Determinasi sebesar 33,7% artinya variasi profitabilitas mampu menjelaskan return saham sebesar 33,7%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 66,3% dipengaruhi faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. One business sector that is the star in the industry today is the retail business. In recent years, the retail business sector has developed very rapidly, but the middle of these developments was the performance of several retail companies that showed indications of a less well, especially in the aspects of company profits. This study examines the effects of profitability ratios by using a ratio measure Return On Equity (ROE) and its effect on the rate of return of shares in the retail sub-sector issuers listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for 2006-2010. This research uses descriptive and verificative method to make the observation of a company's financial ratios (issuers) retail listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and publish annual financial reports for last 5 years. This study uses secondary data from the annual published financial statements obtained through the Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) and IDX Statistics 2006-2010. Based on calculations using a simple regression analysis, product moment correlation (Pearson Correlation) and t test statistics obtained results that have an influence on the profitability of stock returns, in addition to the results obtained coefficient of determination of 33.7% means that variations in profitability can explain stock returns by 33, 7%, while the remaining 66.3% influenced by other factors is not examined. Suggestions from this study is near optimal firm should be more resources and also increase the capital, especially in an effort to increase profit (profit) company. As this will provide a positive impact on improving performance in retail if the issuer can be maintained consistently. Keyword : Profitability, Return On Equity, stock, return, retail Saran dari penelitian ini adalah perusahaan harus lebih mengotimalkan sumber daya yang dimiliki dan juga meningkatkan permodalan khususnya dalam usaha meningkatkan laba (profit) perusahaan. Karena hal ini akan memberikan dampak positif terhadap membaiknya kinerja emiten retail jika mampu dipertahankan secara konsisten.
