Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kreativitas guru dalam menentukan model
pembelajaran menyebabkan rendahnya pengalaman belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian
ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengalaman belajar siswa menggunakan penerapan model
Inquiry Learning pada mata pelajaran IPS. Subjek dari penelitian ini ialah siswa kelas V
SDN Cilegon 2. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri
dari 3 siklus dengan 1 pertemuan pada setiap siklusnya yang meliputi perencanaan,
pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar
observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menujukkan adanya
peningkatan keterampilan guru dan pengalaman belajar siswa. Pada pelaksanaan
prasiklus rata-rata aktivitas pengalaman belajar siswa yang diperoleh sebesar 28,3 dengan
persentase 50,5% (cukup). Siklus I memperoleh rata-rata 2,50 dengan persentase 63,3%
untuk keterampilan guru dan rata-rata 34,65 persentase 61,8% (cukup) pada aktivitas
pengalaman belajar siswa. Pelaksanaan siklus II mengalami peningkatan rata-rata 3,00
dengan persentase 75% untuk keterampilan guru dan rata-rata 39,68 persentase 70,8%
(Baik) pada aktivitas pengalaman belajar siswa. Sedangkan pada siklus III naik menjadi
3,40 dengan persentase 85% untuk keterampilan guru dan rata-rata 48,1 dengan
persentase 85,9% (sangat baik) pada aktivitas pengalaman belajar siswa. Dapat
disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Inquiry Learning pada pembelajaran IPS dapat
meningkatkan pengalaman belajar siswa hal tersebut dilihat dari adanya peningkatan pada
setiap siklus.

This research is motivated by the lack of teacher creativity in determining the learning
model causing the low learning experience of students. The purpose of this research is to
improve students' learning experience by applying the Inquiry Learning model to social
studies subjects. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students at SDN Cilegon 2.
This research was a Classroom Action Research (PTK) consisting of 3 cycles with 1
meeting in each cycle consisting of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting.
Data collection techniques using observation sheets, interviews and documentation. The
results of this study indicate an increase in teacher skills and student learning experiences.
In the pre-cycle the average student learning experience activity obtained was 28.3 with a
percentage of 50.5% (enough). Cycle I obtained an average of 2.50 with a percentage of
63.3% for teacher skills and an average of 34.65 percentage of 61.8% (enough) on student
learning experience activities. Cycle II experienced an average increase of 3.00 with a
percentage of 75% for teacher skills and an average percentage of 39.68 70.8% (Good) in
student learning experience activities. Whereas in cycle III it rose to 3.40 with a
percentage of 85% for teacher skills and an average of 48.1 with a percentage of 85.9%
(very good) in student learning experience activities. It can be concluded that the
application of the Inquiry Learning model in social studies learning can improve students'
learning experiences, this can be seen from the increase in each cycle.
