Abstract

Pembelajaran Perawatan Sistem Pendingin menuntut peserta didik untuk mampu menganalisis kerusakan, mengimplementasikan ilmu yang dipelajari, dan terampil dalam melakukan perbaikan. Oleh karenannya, model pembelajarannya juga harus disesuaikan dengan materi yang diajarkan. Ketidaksesuaian model pembelajaran yang diterapkan akan berdampak kepada proses dan hasil belajar, seperti aktivitas belajar peserta didik yang pasif, sukar memahami materi dan nilai ketuntasan belajar rendah. Alternatif pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah discovery learning. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas belajar peserta didik dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran discovery learning, apakah penggunaan model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dan bagaimana respon peserta didik. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 31 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan data yang diperoleh dilakukan secara survei melalui penyebaran angket. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 8 Bandung kelas XI TKRO 3 sebanyak 31 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penilaian terhadap aktivitas belajar peserta didik dengan pembelajaran model discovery learning tergolong pada kategori sangat aktif dengan persentase 89,67%, Hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,70. Nilai ini menggambarkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar tergolong kategori tinggi dan respon peserta didik terhadap penggunaan model pembelajaran discovery learning tergolong pada kategori sangat menarik dengan persentase 91%. An alternative to solve these problems is the use of discovery learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning activities of students by using the discovery learning model, to find out whether the use of the discovery learning could improve student learning outcomes and how the students responded. The research sample was 31 people. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative method, with the data obtained by survey through the distribution of questionnaires. The subjects of this research were 31 students of State Vocational High School 8 Bandung class XI TKRO 3. The results showed that the assessment of students' learning activities with discovery learning was classified in the very active category with a percentage of 89.67%. Cognitive learning outcomes obtained an N-Gain of 0.70. This value illustrates that the increase in learning outcomes is in the high category and the student's response to the use of discovery learning is classified in the very attractive category with a percentage of 91%.
