Abstract
ABSTRACT Nani M. Sugandi. 2010. Guidance and Counseling Model for Improving Student Self-prepared in facing for Married and have Family. (Was Developed based on Developmental Approach of Strata I (S1) Students of Education Program in Indonesia University of Education 2008/2009). Purpose of this research is to get an effective developmental guidance and counseling in intervening student in preparing themselves for married and have family. This study used ‘research & development’ approach and also qualitative and quantitative method. The research consist of four steps, those are: pre-study, model developing, model rational validation, and model empirical validation. The result from the research show that (1) students’ self-prepared for married and have family from University’s level until Faculties’ level are exist on high category; (2) entirely of determiner factors that are biological matured, sociological matured, sociocultural, and religion, are influence of students’ self-prepared for married and have family; (3) effort which is done by the student to acquire information about married and have family, those are: (a) consultation/discussion with mother, women lecture, women partner; (b) listening to public speaking and dialogue trough radio and television; (c) accessing information from printed media, electronic media, internet and even ‘chatting’ (in these way some students could find their couple and ending with married and have family); and (d) following relevant activities, such as seminar, workshop, training/course about married which are established by an organization or institution; and (4) in general, can be found empirical evidences that Developemental Guidance And Counseling Model (MBKP) is effective for increasing self-prepared for students in facing married and have family. Result of the research is recommended for Technique Manager Unit Guidance and Counseling (UPT-LBK) UPI, Guidance and Counseling Study Program UPI, Advice Lectures and following researchers.
